Hi.

Which CD-Player would I use?

I tried Jukebox with drag&drop the tracks from a CD.
Also I tried "cdplayer2.lha". But for some reason it doesn't find the CD rom drive which is CDDA0:

But in most cases I don't play cds directly anyway, but instead rip & convert them immediately with Ripper to RAM:, and decide after listening wether or not I keep the files.

I've also used Songplayer, but mostly also rip them to MP3 and play with Jukebox then.

IIRC the Ripper program wasn't acting completely clean way (makes a hit), but MorphOS comes with a good ripping program itself too: Flacapella

This 2.1 version allows you to stream the CD data software wise to your system's audio output (through AHI), so it'll work on all setups. Songplayer also does this, so that's why many of us use it.

BTW. you have to configure these programs to use the actual device driver (ide.device for example), not the mounted virtual audio CD (like CDDA0:). If your CD drive is connected as a slave to the primary IDE port, then the device would be ide.device unit 1.
