    I use a Mac mini. Recently I changed a typical pc keyboard to an original Apple A1048 german layout.
    What keaymap should I select in system prefs to have all characters I can see on screen corresponding to ones on keyboard keys?

    I miss draggable screens... and do you? I know I'm in a minority unfortunately.

    I use normal German 105-Key -keymap. But you have tu adapt some keys in USB-Prefs:

    in USBprefs/Devices select Apple_internal_keymap. In the opening window select Keyboard (HID-Class). Hid-class prefs window will open. In section keyboard (keyboard mapping) you can assign the right keys to your board-keys......

    Especially you should fix the at sign. At least my patch for Swiss keyboards is included.

    Here is the result of me fiddlingwith an old keyboard editor:
    http://www.steamdraw.homepage.t-online.de/Apple110d

    -> not an official MorphOS-keymap
    -> might still be wrong in some places
    -> tested with the aluminium keyboard (the A1048 should have the same layout)

    Copy to sys:devs/keymap

    Thank you guys.
    I found a keymap editor on Aminet called Keymorpher, but there is no guide in the archive. Do anyone know how to use it?

    Be advised that this tool won't produce proper keyboards anymore... you'll likely miss out on features, such as Unicode not working where it's supported, etc.

    Thanks. Good to know. I'll try the tip from Amigaharry or try out the ready to use keymap from Kronos.

    The MorphOS keymaps' sources can be found on our website, so you should be able to modify and produce your own ones from source. Those will have all the required features.
