    Hi all

As I manage all my developments using BitBucket, you can find them here:

    https://bitbucket.org/yomgui

    Notes:
    * Download pre-build binaries in Download tabs.
    * if its a mirror and a port like CPython, use the Wiki page for MorphOS dedicated information.
    * if exists, use Issues tab to report problems.

    Thanks!
    -Yomgui-

PyCairo: 1.10.0 (check PyMUI downloads, sorry not a project yet)
libffi: 3.0.9rc3 (needed by CPython for _ctypes module)

    Great news!

Are you going to create new version of Blender for MorphOS? I very need Blender 2.63 (or higher) because Python API has some important changes and my scripts don't work correctly in version 2.62 (last version of Blender for MorphOS).

I'm doing the integration of Python 3.2.2 into my Mercurial repository.
This step can permit the merge to 3.3.x, the one used by latest Blender releases.

I've tried to run many Python apps... but not all! :-p
    ...obviously I cannot do that!
Try it, just let me know if you need a bit of help or tricks to progress, but I can't do it myself.

    Thanks,

I friend of mine showed me Python yesterday and now I've gotten a little interested. I've downloaded all Python versions through Grunch. But I need a how-to-guide to get me started and a beginners guide to learn the codes. Where should I start?

I guess that depends on how much developing experience you allready have. If your a pure beginner I suggest sticking to the basics of the language (which would mean Shell only apps).

On morphos-files you will also find a MUI-module for Python 2.5 (no idea if it would work with other versions),this might be the road to MorphOS-GUI Python app.

But may I as why Python and not C/C++ (unless you have something specific in mind).

Hi Yomgui, happy to see you again.

Do you have plans for your Minecraft engine?

You done a very good work on capturing video through FireWire. Will you continue working on this stuff?

    regards.

    @Kronos

I'm a complete beginner. I've wanted to learn some programming for fun for a good while now, but it's surprisingly hard to find a good place to start. I really like the beginners manual for Amiga E, but the program I used, PortablE, has some bugs in it so I've been waiting for the next version for a while now.

The only reason I find Python interesting is because it does look quite simple compared to C.

    My question about Python is:

I've downloaded and installed everything. What do I need to write in the code to make it execute in MorphOS (I've gotten the impression I need to link it)? And what do I need to write in Shell to execute it?

Python programs are (usually) interpreted script files. No need to compile or link.

    > what do I need to write in Shell to execute it?

    python <scriptname>

Cool! I'm gonna try this out :-)

Would you agree that Python is a better way for a beginner to start than C/C++?
