Associations of MorphOS users WArMUp and AFUM are pleased to offer the pack Chrysalis 3.1.3.

This pack allows you to quickly obtain a complete environment preconfigured. This pack is not official, it must installed just after clean installation MorphOS 3.1 (registered or not). To install the package, simply mount the ISO image and click the "Install PackChrysalis" icon.

Feel free to improve this pack by providing a software, translation, idea, etc ...

I really like this pack, but there are two features I miss. One is the ability to choose what programs to install. The other is an update script if you have a previous version installed.

The pack is just a showcase for new users who will wish to try MorphOS. I try to improve it progressively changing many things (ambient prefs, MUI Prefs PolyNetbar prefs, mimetypes, etc ...). If a person installs a version (3.1.1 for example), it will probably make amendments in later (ambient prefs, MUI Prefs PolyNetbar prefs, mimetypes, etc ...). If then it installs a new version over or a possible update the risk of losing everything she has changed.

Better solution to install, remove and update software is Grunch

Yes, but there are several programs and tweeks I want but don't know the name of or how it's done. So not installing makes my MOS life harder, but installing makes me confused of whats actually installed

Maybe two installations could do the trick? One with the tweeks and one with just the software you don't start with Ambient. It would make me happy at least

Yes, I could try to do a mini pack Chrysalis with only tweeks and after you choose software you want install with Grunch.

I will propose that for MorphOS 3.2

You know Papi, I would like a version that you could slect specific packages, too.

That is really a good idea. I have the pack - and I am a pretty new user. I would love to update with the tweaks only
