At 52:15, does Trevor say that Mark Olsen is the author of a sound driver for A-Eon? Which one would that be? Tabor?

Would be interesting to know which audio controller/codec this driver is for, and if MorphOS will get this driver as well.

Yes, that's what I quoted and replied to, and hence my question.

Hyperion's Contract for porting Amiga OS 4.x to the A1222 includes an Ethernet Driver for the onboard Ethernet.

So you say that Trevor is referring to Jamie Krueger's driver (Hyperion), not to René W. Olsen's driver (A-Eon), in this interview? This doesn't seem plausible as he's mentioning A-Eon's "video driver" and "sound driver" in the very same sentence. And also, I wonder why he even should refer to Hyperion's driver when A-Eon has commissioned and already released its own driver.

Jamie Kruger's driver should be on the A1222 ISO as part of the porting contract.
A-Eon's would then have the option to exclude their R. W. Olsen version from Enhancer 2.0 going forward.

Going by the Enhancer 2.0 press release, it's probably "OxygenHD AHI sound driver v4.1", which seems to be for the CMI8788 PCI audio chipset.

And regarding thread topic: "A1222 AHI sound driver v6.3" is also contained.

I'm not sure where that would leave the powerpcspe port for e500v2, though.

Has anyone installed NetBSD on their PowerPC system before? The official guide appears incredibly daunting for anyone who isn't already familiar with the Unix world (I am, but even I wouldn't call this "easy" by any means; the OpenBSD installation procedure was a walk in the park for me personally). I've seen a few user-made guides that simplify it and cut out all of the fluff that doesn't pertain to G4 or G5 Mac models or to instances that don't involve installing via optical media, but I won't link any of those here.

There's conflicting information online about whether or not NetBSD has FireWire support (OpenBSD does not, and I ended up removing it from my PowerBook due to lack of software anyways). The installation guide I linked doesn't mention FireWire under the "Supported devices" nor the "Unsupported devices", yet the NetBSD official macppc port FAQ page reports that NetBSD "does not yet support" any "FireWire (IEEE 1394) devices, such as disks, CD-RWs, and scanners". Despite this, I still find people online talking about their FireWire device being recognized by NetBSD, so I don't know if that particular line on the official website hasn't been updated to reflect this or not.

NetBSD also has a swathe of software to choose from, even in the macppc port. Because it's so necessary nowadays, it's beneficial to note that all but one or two of the available web browsers are out of date. NetSurf 3.11 and BadWolf 1.3.0 are the most recent options available. BadWolf is currently on version 1.4.0 as of this writing and was just released this year, so it's unreasonable to expect it to be available on NetBSD straight away.
