I have an Apple laptop running MorhphOS connected to an external monitor. It works well. The question I have is. When I close the laptop lid, the monitor goes blank. Is there a way to prevent this?

    Thanks

Kronos(?) told me a trick for that once. But i am old and can't remember. I believe you had to close the lid early during startup.

I don't think it's a good idea to close the lid while the Powerbook is running because of possible overheating problems!

You mean *was*, right? Notice that OSX does disable the backlight though, right? That's because a PowerBook can't cool itself properly while it's closed. We'll try to see what can be done about the external display though. Which model is it exactly?

This only worked up until version MorphOS 3.11. With the introduction of the extended dual-monitor support in MorphOS 3.12, this functionality sadly got lost. At least for the time being.
