cpu temp ?

    which tool i can use to display the current cpu temperature ??

    Go to the top right. Right click on the square. Choose Modules --> Thermal.

    There are also all kinda of useful tools in Modules :-)

    I am a bit confused.
    I have a apple g5 2.7ghz dual core.
    So first cpu: 81 c
    second cpu: 57 c

    Can that be ????

    Yes, because MorphOS only use one core. The other should be idle and thus, less hot.

    Btw, we have the same computer ;-)

    Very interessting! On my G5 2.3GHz both CPUs show nearly the same temperature all the time (~74°C)......

    Doesn't MorphOS deaktivate one CPU complete?
    Peg2, 3xPowerMac G5, 2xPowerbookG4, 2x MacMiniG4, Efika (again), A3000T and life is never boring.....

    you can disable the second CPU in Open Firmware. But deactivating it will also result in OS X running just on one CPU.

    of course you can activate it for OSX again

    i was wondering if it is possible to deactivate one cpu and make OS X activate the second one temporarily everytime it boots up.
