    Hello!

From few days I have been useing MorphOS PowerUP (relase from 23 February). Other version of MorphOS, witch I tried to use caused freezing my computer after 1-2 minutes from system start. With this version everything works properly, but I have another problem.

I can't connect with the Internet. I heve been using 3com PCMCIA card, Miami and 3c589.device on AmigaOS 3.1, but on MorphOS it doesn't work. Miami tells me: "Miami is unable to open SANA-device "3c589.device" unit 0."

I tried to start Miami with other unit than "0", but the effect was the same... Is it possible that this driver is not compatible with MorphOS?

Few mounths before now, I was useing other PCMCIA card (but now it is broken) with cnet.device. That version of MorphOS was unstable on my machine, but on cnet.device I'd had Internet on MorphOS. But cnet.device don't work with PCMCIA card, witch I have useing now. Only with 3c589.device it works on AmigaOS. Please help me.

Maybe it's caused by the known 'PCMCIA reset' hardware bug?...

what i have noticed with MorphOs is you dont need pcmcia fixes. All works fine here with same card and MiamiDx. Is Miami assigned

the only other thing that spring to mind is run snoopdaos and check where Miami is looking for 3C589.device im guessing its not where miami is looking. Also have you got the pccard.library in libs there is another library it looks for cant remember what as not infront of Miggy at mo. But these are needed to open 3C589.device

Shame on me. I was experimenting a lot to configure network on this system (Adam_K is my brother) :) I remembered that pccard.library is in 3c589.lha arhcive, so I was planning to copy it to LIBS:. Unfortunately I have forgotten about it in a meantime...

    Thanks a lot! :)

    You can try this: http://www.lehtoranta.net/beta/3c589.lha

But I doubt it is gonna work... it *seems* to be some kind of timing problem but I dont really know... since I dont have A1200 anymore it is very difficult to investigate this further.

Btw MorphOS resets PCMCIA cards automatically so reset patch is no longer needed.

And of course it is worth of checking if you can make 68k version work in the first place... but I doubt...

    68k version is working now correct. :) I just didn't install pccard.library. ;)

Thank you for your PPC version of this library and driver, but unfortunately driver caused logtool hits and MOSNet didn't want work with this native stuff. It's a pity...,PPC native version would be better I supose.

Ah well, I removed PPC version from the web space. If someone wants to check it out I can hand out source code for PPC port...
