Hi. I have one question and one request to make about the menu system of MOS.

I see that multiple menu-item selection is not possible. Is this a bug of MOS or MUI?

Non-blocking, transparent menus are nice but there are such a big drag on my Amiga.. That's the reason i don't use MagicMenu with all of its features enabled in AOS.
In MagicMenu, most of the drag is caused by the non-blocking mechanism. It takes away the sensation of a responsive OS. :-(
Could someone write a patch that will disable these feature(s). I don't know if i'm asking too much but i guess it's 1000 times easier to disable something, than to implement it. :-D

I recall feature was patented and not implemented in 1.4.x.

Idea behind blocking menus is that it disables all rendering to the screen when menu is open. That is, other programs may stop running for a while.

Making menus solid (see SkinConfig) could help.

    The patent expired.

Speaking of menus, there's something else i want to ask..
I see that the space between each menu's item is bigger in MOS, making menus with many entries not fitting in a screen. How can i reduce it?

You can reduce it by using smaller fonts only.

Following your suggestion, i tried to do this by changing the fonts in the "Menu" tab of the MUI settings but the font of the menus remained the same after selecting a different font/size.
Then, i figured out that i have to do it through the "system settings" -> "font". After i selected a smaller font size, things got better but still, large menus that fit on a AOS screen does not on a MOS one. I'm using exactly the same resolution in both OSes. I think this is due to the large space between each entry, as i said earlier.

I see no reason why MorphOS should copy AmigaOS in terms of looks, especially spacings and sizes.

You can adjust spacings by editing the SkinConfig (but it will also be limited by the size of the metakey/arrow graphics, so sometimes you have to resize those with a gfxapp if the skin doesn't come with a low enough size)...
