Hello,
I'm trying to install Morphos on my a1200 for the first time, the boot drive is on IDE 4x splitter device 0, morphos partition is 3,8 gb SFS filesystem and named MH0:
My configuration is BlizzardPPC and BvisionPPC, 256mb ram 8 GB drive on IDE.
I copied all the files in the Morphos partition set the startupsequence with MH0: boot device, renamed Module.com1 to something else like Module.com1.original and then Module.com1.idehack to Module.com1, gave a low boot priority, turned off the computer and then selected MH0: partition as booting partition on early startup sequence, i always get a message "startup failed returncote 10" at boot up.
What may be the problem?
Please check, if you have in the startup-sequence all commands like should be, because i had similar issue. The startup line with commands was too long and at the end of line was not full word variable $kickstart, but only $kickst, or something similar. I don't know how many chars are allowed for one line.
Maybe, you can sent to here your S-S.
I have this startup line:
startup hal=roms/hal.com1 kernel=roms/kernel.com1 abox=roms/abox2.com1 module=roms/module.com1.idehack resetlevel=$resetlevel ramdebug verbose debug HDebugFlags="Init Log" QDebugFlags="Init EmulMapping" EDebugFlags="Init InitResident NoLogServer Log LoadSeg PCI" sumkick disableled delay=$delay extmodules=extmodules/#? $bootdevice $kickstart
