    anyone that is interested in getting a cheap computer to run MorphOS2.5 on and also lives close to Arlington, Virginia, USA, should hurry to this auction;

    http://cgi.ebay.com/eMac-1-25-Ghz-Macintosh-40-GB-HD-768-MB-RAM-/250677304855?pt=Apple_Desktops

    before it ends. As I write this, the bid amount is only $40.00 US dollars.

    Edit: This http://cgi.ebay.com/Lot-36-eMac-1-25GHz-512MB-40GB-DVD-CD-RW-Combo-/380256417600?pt=Apple_Desktops is for a really ambitious MorphOS supporter that can pick these up in person and not pay for freight charges. The "buy it now" price equals $50 each, but I bet the seller will accept much less for them and is taking offers.

    Yes, there are a lot of PPC Macs on eBay lately that are being sold in lots of multiple computers at dirt cheap prices.

    Of course the auctions I am looking at are in the USA, so I don't know about other countries. So many businesses or studios are getting rid of all their PPC Mac computers now, the market for such machines is flooded and the prices are falling like bricks dropped from the top of a high rise office building.

    Just today I won an auction for 5 - 1.25GHz G4 MDD PowerMacs (not FW800, but the model just before those). They will come with USB Apple keyboards and 2GB RAM, plus a 120gb hdd and all are full of Avid PCI cards that connect to two break-out boxes for audio and maybe video editing. I will keep one for myself and have already sold a second one and maybe a third, but should have two of them for sale at the AmiWest 2010 Show in October, if anyone is interested in buying them. I don't know when MorphOS2.6 will be released, but I do think that the G4 PowerMac will be the next PPC Mac model that is supported to run MorphOS2.x.

    For now, I will just play around with the Avid software and see what it is capable of. These 5 G4 PowerMacs came from a TV/Movie production studio in Burbank, California (near Hollywood).

    Supporting Mac HW was one of the best decisions that the MorphOS Team ever made!

    And yet, Amiga was best known for its video edition usage. What applications can you remember for that? As of now, I just recall the "VLab motion" hardware, and its associated software. Oh, well, and NewTek's Video Toaster! Being NTST only, such a milestone solution never made it in PAL Europe.

    Doesn't Blender have video editing functions? I think I've red that somewhere, and yet MorphOS does blend...

    The seller claims that the Avid software for the cards can now be downloaded from the Avid site, but I did not buy the PowerMacs because they had those cards in them. In fact I will probably try to sell all the cards, unless I keep a set for myself to use while Dual Booting into MacOSX.

    It would be very nice to have some new video editing software just for MorphOS2.x, now that we have sufficiently powerful hardware to run such software on, or soon will have.
