Hi,
I am more than happy MorphOS user. I have some troubles in accessing it but that's another story. Alas I live in a wifi range, the said network is free (which makes it my choice) and it's an open network.
Thus I was forced to get some EDIMAX appliance (proven working with Pegasos already) catching the signal and delivering it for morphos via rj-45. No big deal at all, I was happy the proven workaround existed.
But now, I want that thrash out of my house
The fewer stuff at home, the better (to manage etc. see: wife). Some extra HW expense was made but to, me MorphOS was extremely cheap anyway since I had a mac at that time already - just the license plus the appliance. Just check out most recent Sam offer, man, just don't check the specs, just check the bargain, man...
But as I said, I wish that thing would go away
So not sure how much it costed, not sure really from my memory, say 20 Eur. So I am ready to pledge 15 Eur for a speed-up bounty, call it, that makes OPEN WiFI a feature list on NEXT MorphOS release. As far as I remember, one more guy wanted it also, the guy named pampers probably.
Well? Anyone else wired his/her mini unnecessarily?
Was: Mac Mini PPC running MorphOS 2.4
Now: Amiga Forever 2010 with AmiKit and AmigaSYS
Not used: Icaros Desktop 1.2 (reason: no wifi)
Planned soon: an OS4 system
Shortly then: a MOS notebook (wifi is a must-have)
