I just received a new morphos key from the support team, which I instaled in a fresh installation of MorphOS 3.4 in a Mac Mini G4 1.5GHz and 1GB of RAM.

The system though is having problems recognizing my morphos key which I installed at Sys:Devs/

Are there any suggestions on how to fix this recurrent issue?

The registration with regtool has been realized on this Mac mini ?

    Do you have rebooted ?

1, I have done the registration usin the RegTool and sent an email to support
    2. I have rebooted every time that I got the message asking me to register

    "having problems" as in:

    a) the key does work sometimes, sometimes not
    -> something wrong your MAC-Address

    b) the key never works
-> most likely corupted keyfile, make sure the problem is not on your side (which email-client did you use, how did you save the keyfile etc etc) . If nothing helps ask the team to generate a new keyfile for the same machine.

Corrupt MAC-address could also be caused by empty backup-battery (afaik).
    Peg2, 3xPowerMac G5, 2xPowerbookG4, 2x MacMiniG4, Efika (again), A3000T and life is never boring.....

    a) Registration done using RegTool
    b) My Mac Mini doesn't use battery, as it's a desktop; or at least not that I know

I received the key file in my GMail account as an attachment, which I download directly to RAM: and from there I moved to Sys:Devs/

Battery = button cell for the realtime clock.

Might still be the MAC-Address, run "ifconfig" in shell and write down the number following "Hardware type: Ethernet, address: ...".

Restart the Mini a few times and check wether that number changes, also after disconnecting it from power.

If it doesn't change, contact the team to make sure your key was isued for that MAC-address.

I should have added that this computer was completely overhauled by an Apple technician, friend of mine here in Cupertino, California, blocks away of Apple's main campus :-)

This friend of mine said that everything looked good, after upgrading the RAM from the standard 512kb to 1GB now. A brand new 80 GB HDD was also added.

I'm kind of inclined to believe this guy ;-)

I'll check today the MAC address as suggested by Kronos
