Hello everyone,
I am back home from my 2nd back surgery that took place on Monday, November 5th, and I wanted to report that the 1st of two G5 PowerMac towers has already been sent to South Africa, so BigFoot (aka Mark Olsen) can begin his bounty work to complete the porting of MorphOS3.x to the G5 PowerMac computer.
My own personal 2.0GHz G5 PowerMac was shipped to BigFoot on Tuesday, November 6th, while I was in the hospital recovering from my surgery, as I had prepared the package over the weekend before my Monday surgery, and one of my family members was successful in taking the G5 package to the Post Office, with the pre-paid postage and Customs Forms paperwork that I had prepared, and the package is on it's way, and should soon be received in South Africa by BigFoot, so he can begin his porting work again.
I am still quite drugged and will remain in this condition for several days, while I recover from the pain of the surgery. After that, I should be able to begin reducing my dependence on narcotic drugs for my back condition and eventually be able to stop using all narcotics for back pain and numbness, IF the surgery was successful.
Thanks to everyone who sent me well wishes for success with my surgery. It will take me 2 to 3 months before I will know how well the surgery has worked for my condition.
The 2nd G5 PowerMac arrived at my home yesterday and will be tested before it is also sent to BigFoot in South Africa, so he will soon have two G5 PowerMac's to work with in completing the port of MorphOS3.x to the G5 PowerMac computer line.
The 2nd G5 PowerMac to be sent to BigFoot is the fastest for running MorphOS3.x, as it has the dual 2.7GHz G5 CPU powering it.
This also means that BigFoot will have at least one of both the aircooled and liquid cooled G5 CPU models to work with in completing his port of MorphOS3.x to the G5 PowerMac models.
