As the orginal release was expected the best part of 6 months ago, it's not unreasonable to assume they may have added more to 3.0 since then.

As we have beginning of May and release was planned end of December, I would calculate end of June as 6 month delay.

Currently we are "only" 4 Month and a couple of days late. :D

Anyway, since different people code different stuff, some features are behind and some are ahead, depending on various circumstances.

Maybe a positive side from development going faster in some areas (and going on beyond a 3.0 feature freeze), is that a 3.1 release may happen not so long after the 3.0? ;-)
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)
MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

Since this is my 2nd year in Antarctica, I guess you could say that quite big portions of the OS were developed here, yea ;)

At the risk of getting way off topic...

@ jacadcaps Is this the second year you've returned to Antarctica or have you been living there for at least a year already? What are you doing there? When do you expect to return home? How frequently does your station get mail / new supplies? Is there something you'd like sent to you? (Please don't say 'supermodel' - that sort of thing always ends badly.)
PPC assembly ain't so bad... ;)

I will let jadacaps answer the rest, but this is his second trip to the Antarctic and he left several months ago, not over a year ago.

    What about MorphOS 3.0?

    Where´s the problem?

The activity is on OS 4.x actually more intensive. It seems, MorphOS is going to be dead. No soft no new os. :-x

I dont see any activity. Just take a look to the download section. Except Fabs MPlayer, i see some quite poor and often useless (ported) tools.

There are really good stuffs, thats true. But just imaginate the activity for the last months. There comes nothing. It is not necessary to actualizing the morphos upgrade pack because there is nothing for updating.

If you want to act melodramatic and proclaim that "MorphOS is going to be dead", you should do your posting on Moo Bunny, or Amiga.org, not here. You won't find many members here that will believe you when you say "the sky is falling".

Just because you don't see what is happening yet, it does not mean that nothing is happening with the people that actually make things happen.

That's a requirement to recharge the creative coding juices. Way to go Piru, hope you had a great time! Where can I send the Pizza and PayPal money for beer to get the whole MorphOS Developer Team fat and drunk, so they can finish MorphOS3.0 faster?

Yes, keep checking here or at the official website for MorphOS and when it is announced for release you can download the new MorphOS3.0 ISO to try it out and decide if you want to buy it. If you are already a registered MorphOS user, you will be able to download and upgrade to MorphOS3.0 for free on all of your already registered MorphOS computers.

It will be released when it is done.
