    Hi

    I was looking at meta-morphos.org and I can see news for a two updated sbars.

    At the very end the news says: MorphOS 2.5 is recommended to use these two new modules.

    Is it getting closer to the release or it's just a typo? ;)

    I tried to install both of those on 2.4, what with that being the new version available and all, install fails something about no: being an unknown command,

    Maybe it's something to do with this little lot in the install script! :-) Just look at those comments!

    "; Now, mess up user's installation!
    ;
    Execute T:Keymap_sbar_install.log
    FailAt 21
    ;
    ; Done, hard disk drive completely erased.
    ;
    RequestChoice "Keymap.sbar Installer" "Installation of Keymap.sbar successful completed.*n*nAn installation log file is available in T:" "Ok" >NIL:
    ;
    ; Next time, just do it yourself! :D

    How far have releases been apart in the past? An eternity?
    My Macs:
    Powerbook G4 ALU 1.5GHZ 15" 1.5GB OSX.5.8
    Powermac G4 MDD 1.5GHZ OSX.5.8 MOS2.7

    Want a part for a Mac? Let me know, I'll see what I can do.

    Amithlon is amazing, questions and help I can provide.

    > How far have releases been apart in the past?

    2.0 - June 2008
    2.1 - September 2008
    2.2 - December 2008
    2.3 - August 2009
    2.4 - October 2009

    That is 3, 3, 8 and 2 months in between, 4 months on average. That means MorphOS 2.5 is overdue ;-)

    2.5 is much over due but probably they are doing a lot of bugfixing for Powermac and Powerbook for the release. My Powerbook G4 1.25 ghz is waiting for it! Would be nice if a deve gave us a hint..

    No body said anything about the Powerbook version being ready for the next release, in fact I'm not entirely sure they said anything about Powermacs other than the Emacs for 2.5, did they?

    Anyway,
    I hope sooner then later means it wont take tooooo much longer.

    I bought a powermac as i thought when laire writes that, i really cant take long.
    It may be more work then he thought maybe.

    If i could transfer the license, i would have bought a mac mini in the meanwhile but i guess i rather wait :)

    I wonder what else beside running on Powermac MOS 2.5 will bring along.
    Maybe the long awaited Thumbnail Video preview?

    Huh? The right question would be, what else besides running on PowerMac MorphOS 2.5 *won't* bring along.

    Yes, you're right. I just looked for statements from you. That's why I overlooked Fab's. Thanks for the hint.

    I really see no benefit in the team telling us they're not going to add any machine support in the 2.5 version, I mean if they aren't going to release it for Power Mac yet then what are they going to add? The only thing I can think of is 3d suport for the 9600,9700 and 9800?
