Perhaps, Jacek, but what it a
sure annoyment is having to buy MorphOS again just because you've changed your computer for another one. Goods are sold to a person, not to the machine he's incidentally using. Perhaps it's not even legal somewhere...
But I understand that there isn't a technically satisfactory way to track the usage of an operating system.
So, putting technical ways aside, it's back to commercial actions. For me, the only thing that could be done is selling further licenses way cheaper than the customer's first one. Of course, that offer will be abused, but hey, that's better than not selling.
I'm in no way implying that you should do so. And most of all, I'm not implying that you haven't thinked about this way before!
