Went to Aminet. Downloaded the two lha's
Opened a shell and extracted the two files.
Now there are two directories and the info file for the GUI in ram:

    Now what?
If there is a manual how to do this?
    Would legacy amiga manuals help?
I have not installed Dopus. Do any use it in MorphOS?.

In the cave with a small penlight :-)

    TIA

The version on Aminet is a little old (iirc that is). Get the more recent version from here.
You only need the one mplayer archive. Extract it to a convenient place on your harddrive and check the readme :-)

Now what? ........continued Following is a "CRAWL THROUGH"

Now I clicked open the System: folder along with the Ram:
I chose the MPlayer directory in Ram: and chose "copy" in the top menu.
Now I click on the System folder and choose paste from the top menu of System.
The System folder is in the "icon" view so the pasting doesn't show.
I change the view to "All Files" and the folder for MPlayer appears but MUTED why?

    to be continued.......

    TIA

The MPlayer drawer has no icon, so right click on the folder and select information, then drag an icon from another drawer on top of the ghosted MPlayer icon in the information window and click save.

Oh and by the way, you can edit your posts here.

You need to copy the icon file from ram: as well. It has the same name as the folder as you are copying plus .info on the end. Switch to all files mode in the lister showing the contents of Ram: to check if it's there.

(That's presuming the mplayer archive included an icon, otherwise do as Golem says)

"from another drawer" while you can drag any icon you like from any ambient window, picking a drawer/folder icon will probably make it easier to identify. Any of the icons in the System: window will of course work.
