New MorpOS user! (and some questions about registration)

I just bought a Mac Mini with a registered MorpOS 2.4 installed. So far I love it.

I wanted to change the registration to my name, so I used the registration program to update the details. Shortly after I got an email saying that the computer is already registered, but that if I wanted to transfer the rights from a previous owner I would just have to answer the mail. I did so yesterday.

However, now my system starts crawling after using it for a little while. Has my re-registration rendered the original key file invalid somehow? If so, how long does it usually take before I get a new key?

    Thanks.

Doubt the key got invaldated, but you can allways check:

Select "about MorphOS" from the menu
If it still reads "registered for ......." it should be o.k..

Also when the demo times out you should get a nice requester telling you so.

So whatever your slowdown is, it's something else but we can only find out with more information.

Do you get the unregistered time out requester come up? If not, it could be that you're getting low on vram. That's what seems to slow my mac mini down (and it has 64mb). For example if I have multiple 1920x1080 24bit screens open.

The old registration info still shows up in the About MorphOS requester, and I get no timeout requester. So clearly the cause is something else.

I'll just have to wait and see if the problem persists, and if it does, try finding a pattern.

    Thanks for the answers!
