hmm i havent compiled anything .. The readme just lists the requirements right ?
" Tubexx requires:
- MorphOS 1.4.5 or higher
- ARexx (you might need to copy the rexxsyslib.library from AmigaOS 3.x in MOSSYS:Libs/)
- MUI4 + 4 external classes: MCC_BetterBalance, MCC_HTMLview, MCC_TheBar, MCC_Urltext
- RxMUI 42.2 or higher
- MPlayer and MEncoder 1.0+
- xsltproc 6.2
- grep 2.5 (part of the MorphOS SDK)
- wget 1.9.1 (also part of the MorphOS SDK)
- HTTPResume 1.9"
so aminet.net and google is the help here.. For the mui classes: http://www.zerohero.se/mui/
Maybe I over reacted with my prior post, but I still have not finished figuring out how to install all of the components needed.
Did you even bother to read the rest of my message? I have all of the above files and programs downloaded and extracted to RAM.
I am running MorphOS2.4, so the first requirement is met.
ARexx libraries are already in my Sys:/Libs drawer.
I have:
rexxapp.library
rexxarplib.library
rexxdossupport.library
rexxhost.library
rexxmathlib.library
rexxreqtools.library
rexxserdev.library
rexxsupport.library
rexxsyslib.library
rexxtools.library
rexxtricks.library
MUI4 external classes I can handle
RxMUI 42.2 had an installer, so that one I can't complain about.
I had already installed MPlayer, which includes MEncoder, so I don't have to do anything regarding that except from what I read, TubeXX will need to know where MPlayer & MEncoder are located.
xsltproc 6.2 did not have an installer or good documentation so I just put it in my Sys:/C directory
grep 2.5 I got from aminet and it is a 68k.lha, so I don't know if I have the right one since you stated that it is in the MorphOS SDK. It has bad documentation with no installation instructions and I had to look in it's bin directory to find a grep file, which I copied to my Sys:/C directory
wget 1.9.1 I downloaded from www.christianrosentreter.com and it is clearly labeled for morphos. The Readme file is for Linux/Unix people and just explains what it is. The Install file is a long list that starts off like this:
Installation Procedure
0) Preparation
To build and install GNU Wget, you need to unpack the archive (which you have presumably done, since you are reading this), and read on. Like most GNU utilities, Wget uses the GNU Autoconf nechanism for build and installation; those of you familiar with compiling GNU software will feel at home.
1) Configuration
To configure Wget, run the ..........
Where are the installation instructions for using this with MorphOS? Oh, to top it off, the file named "MACHINES" that lists all of the computer platforms that Wget has been compiled for in the past does not even list MorphOS, although it does list "Amiga NetBSD (m68k-cbm-netbsd1.2)".
Lastly, HTTPResume 1.9 did have a nice AmigaGuide document in it's "Docs" directory, so I copied it also to my Sys:/C directory and put it's guide in my Sys:/Docs drawer.
Now I think I should be ready to run Tubexx (which I have copied to my Utilities drawer), so I double click on it and I get a system error which says "ARexx reimplementation is not yet finished, if you want to use ARexx, please install your original rexxsyslib.library..."
So, I pull out my OS3.9 CD and copy the rexxsyslib.library from it to my Sys:/Libs drawer and try again. Same result, so I go looking for a RexxMast program to put into my WBStartup drawer like I used to have to do in AmigaOS3.9 to run ARexx scripts, or was that in OS3.1 or earlier that I had to start ARexx before it would work? Anyway, I can't find anything like it in MorphOS, so I need some help.
Edit: I can start Wookie Chat which uses ARexx with no problems or error messages about ARexx not being implemented, so I am puzzled about the error message I get when trying to run Tubexx for the first time so I can configure it and start using it with OWB.
I am using MorphOS2.4 on my MacMini alot now and wish to be able to see YouTube videos. Also, is there a Flash plug-in for OWB like the one for IBrowse, or an even better one?
