Hello, just installed the prog. following the installer that it have, but noticed that it created on the root of the system a C and LIBS drawer, that only contains files of the program. I assume that the install script is wrong and they should be copied on morphos/C and morphos/LIBS, as i think that these are the system folders where those files need to be copied. Am i wrong or is it correct?.
May i have to copy these files to the folder4s inside morphos folder and delete the ones that are on the root?.
    Thanks in advance!!!

Q: What is MOSSYS: and SYS:MorphOS?
A: MOSSYS: is an assign pointing to SYS:MorphOS. The idea is that SYS:MorphOS is a private directory for the operating system and you don't need to touch anything in it. A system upgrade will be done by simply putting a new directory (old one can be renamed or so). If you want to change the way the system is started edit s:user-startup, nothing else.

i.e. do not touch MOSSYS (or SYS:MorphOS, same thing)

Well mine wasnt. After installing and clicking any OS4 executable, I got a system message of OS4Emu missing, pointing me to the right url to get it.

So, the new C drawer and LIBS drawer created are correct?. So, when another app need the same destination, will share those folders?. It's a bit confusing the way that it works
    Thanks in advance!!!

The installer is correct except it doesn't copy the os4emu drawer that is inside the libs drawer in the archive.
Either use Ambient to manually copy it across to libs: or open a shell and type:

    copy ram:os4emu/libs libs: all

This assumes you've extracted the Lha archive to ram: otherwise change ram: for your path.

Those folders were there before. They are used for 68k libs and third party software used by third party programs (extra commands in C for example).

This way you do not mess your Sys:MorphOS/C and SYS:MorphOS/Libs folders.

Yes. That's what the string in my last post will do. Or just use Ambient's copy feature to put it in the Libs: directory (the one in the root directory as you said).

Ok, os4emu now runs on my mini, but still need some tips for the use, because the information on the docs is too short. It's better to launch programs directly using the setpatchload, i mean, doubleclicking the executable file, or is better to launch it via cli with os4emu 'filetolaunch'?. Is any way more compatible than the other?. Also, i read that classact libraries are recommended, and since i'm a beginner in morphos, i don't know if these come with the morphos installation or i need to install it by myself. also, if i had to install them, are these libraries good to install, i mean, will it produce incompatibilities or issues with other Morphos software???.
    Thanks in advance!!!

ClassAct libraries are not part of MorphOS, and not used by any (properly written) MorphOS software, so installing them won't cause any incompatibilities, just make a few more 68k and some OS4 apps work. Also some "straight recompile" ports might need them, like older versions of Annotate, and/or AWeb.

    Which of these then?

And where to place the classes? I don't want to mess with my system dirs.

So, is safe to install classact on Morphos?. Also, as diskdoctor said, wich version is the more suitable for MorphOS?

In the suitable SYS:Classes subdirs, outside MOSSYS:.
