Danish characters in MorphOS 2.4 - think it is a bug

    I have installed MorphOS2.4 on my MacMini and it works like a charm :-)

    The only problem I have is that I do not have danish characters in Ambient. I have them fine when I write things in forexample OWB but in the menus they are replaced by strange caractercombinations..

    At first I tought that it was some kind of missing font but since I can write them fine I now think it is a bug.

    Anbybody else having similar problems?

    Menu font is set differently ?

    Check MUI settings for Ambient.

    I talked to one of the developers and it looks like the problem is caused by wrong encoding of the danish characters in Ambient - in other words som kind of bug.

    The danish locale file is encoded in UTF-8 but needs to be encoded in iso-8859-1.

    Since very few (at this point :-)) uses the danish locale it slipped through.

    I will be fixed with the next release. :-D

    It wont be a fix, it will be a workaround for the real problem.
