    Haha.

Not a single mention about morphos but there is a picture with a blue butterfly.

The once famous "Pegasos Microwave", reminiscent from an era when Genesi had a lot of cash, and were giving away computers like crazy!

We want these new Genesi computers based on MPC 8610 and MPC 5121e! After some bold announcements, there's been no news in a long time.
The last thing we know is that Peter Czanik is starting up Suse Linux in the 8610 evaluation board, and that freescale is redesigning the 5121e (those "working" LimePC prototypes were actually way more crude than what they seemed to be).

    > Not a single mention about morphos

Since its inception the "microwaved" Pegasos has got online coverage on case mod related sites, blogs and forums from time to time, and *never* the tech innards or MorphOS have been mentioned (except maybe in the comments).

    Some examples:
    http://www.engadget.com/2005/04/18/the-microwave-pc/
    http://gadgets.fosfor.se/the-top-10-weirdest-case-mods/
    http://devicedaily.com/desktops/10-craziest-pc-case-mods.html

    http://www.coolcomputercases.com/computer-case-mods/the-microwavecomputer-case-in-one/

    Dozens more:
    http://www.google.com/search?q=microwave+case+mod

The reason may very well be different people stumbling over http://www.directron.com/cescases.html regularly, each time creating a new social bookmarking wave (pun intended) in featuring images of this device on their sites, blogs or forums, but without knowing the background.
Some places (like the one you outlined) even have reported the issue (or at least shown images) several times over the years each time handling it as "news" ;-)

By the way, that background image was taken by me at Assembly 2003. It just felt "a right thing to do" :-)

Many people were taking pictures of the case on the first day we had it, but had to take yet another picture with my wallpaper image (probably the most widespread image ever by me)

Originally, it was meant to be a surprise to the owner of the system, but news (and pictures) of the case were spreading fast, and it was already pointed out before the party was over :-)
