Shame to see you go man. Loved your numerous efforts for MorphOS; shame the bounty page never really made it. Hope to see you back at amiga-like computing one day :-D

    Fare well!

Bummer to see you leave. :( But it is not hard to understand. I'm more than likely gonna sell my Peg also. I'll keep an eye on the situation and if it improves, I'll just buy another one.

    Cheers.

    Paul,
au revoir mate. Hopefully we'll bump into each other on the mac sites and forums. To be honest none of them have the feel and spirit of the Amiga / MorphOS community..but that's probably just a relative size thing.

It was a great ride while it lasted!

Next time you see me, ya owe me a beer for that .mac address ;-)

I got a whole raft of things I need to get up on eBay too....$1,000s worth of software/hardware that to be had for bargain prices..watch this space!

Noticed the same thing too. I'm on the G4 mailing list, and I like hanging out at the local CompUSA talking with the Mac Guru there. There are plenty of user groups out there and probably one local to most everyone.

I never understand why ppl are jumping off now..? The Peg remains
funtional, MOS as well. As long as there is enough space in my flat
I'll keep my computers. Maybe I will add a Mac this year, but the Peg
served me during the last two years (and some months) nicely and i am
sure it will continue to do so. I never understand this all-or-nothing
menatality. I understand quite well if you are disappointed now.
Everybody is today. We invested a lot, everyone here did. And now it
seems we lost that game, but why breaking the bridges now. Why not
just stay and let it rock. If you all leave now the system will be
really going to death. It's not too vital currently, but if we stay it
will not die completely and will give us stil some pleasure. Of course
now the dream is over (or hardly weaked), but I think we should just
stay and enjoy our freaky, strange club of bursted blue soap
    bubbles...

    I will stay!

I wont stay, I am tired of all this, more so in the fact that people said work is being done and all is fine. It wasnt and I feel we were taken advantage of. How many people got Pegs in the last few months because of all the press 1.5 was getting? Thats just wrong and the dev team members knew that and they still kept silent. I am sorry, but even if things get better I am still out.

Well, if you lost fun, then it's time to leave. I just wanted to say
that the usage of the Peg and MOS didn't changed. Only dreams
are crashed. That is hurting enough and sometimes I don't know why I
keep using MOS myself, but when the Peg powers up and I got into a
shell I feel home. I am used to Amigastyle computers since 1988. It's
    my computer hometown.
You might settle elsewhere, but you feel home when returning to your
city of childhood. MOS give me that familiar feeling - that is why I
    will stay.

Beside MOS and W2K I use OS X (gf's computer) and QNX (on my x86
notebook), I like the latter both (I even arranged with W2k...), but I
still miss something while using them. OS X is nice and I am quite
sure i will go for an iBook this year. And I am always impressed by
QNX, it's stable and fast. But my heart is with MorphOS, I cannot
    change that...

Does this site have any sense anymore? Does developer work have any sense? Do you think commercial product will be developed for a dead project?

If something doesn't happen in next two-three days, it will be right to close this down together with morphos-news (??? what news?)

And don't tell that if we stay here we can support the platform. we're just users for most part. what can we do?

I'll keep my peg anyway, which hasn't supported not only by genesi but also by bplan (of problems) and still lacks a decent linux install support. Mos dev team just quit....
    What we have? almost nothing.

I just hope many developers will start to help the aros project which is done by hobbyists and surely won't end like mos...

I, as simple user, will stay with my Peg and MOS since I'm having,
despite all, a lot of fun with it. More, the only alternative is A1
but it's too a crappy hw to consider buying it!
When my Peg will die I'll change my hobby! I e.g. could go fishing!
    :-)

There have been several companies that will still support MOS. Remember MOS 1.4 is still being bundled with ODW's and Peg II's. So there is a potential for user base growth. DiscreetFX has said there will be MOS support, Titan, Epic, etc. Remember that AOS Classic is also a 'dead' OS and there is still support there. Just cause there is currently no new development - which isn't necessarily true (MUI, MUICON, MOSMEDIA, etc.) does not mean that what we have is not useful.

There is more going on than just OS updates. There is also third party programs and updates to read about. I've looked at some of the Mac forums, and they are not nearly as fun as these forums. :-)

To some degree the community is user drive and supported. Has been that way since 1994. We can run crunch for dnetc!! :-)

Everything ends sooner or later and means ultimately don't matter in the long scheme of things. What happens will happen.

Although there shouldnt be a good bye or nice meeting you...

Pegasos is Exotic PPC hardware. Thats cool. You are running a proprietary OS that is faster than anything out there (MorphOS) Sounds like pretty elite computing to me.

What are you going to do? Get a mini-mac? LIke everyone else? ;-)

No, keep the Pegasos. Morphos is NOT dead. It LIVES! and there will be an update in the near future!

Well, it was inspired by comp.sys.amiga.advocacy, ANN.LU and McEwen/Bernie/H&P. Was just making it easier for the backstabbing. :-D I'll consider it and see what else I can find! :-?
