Hey Papi, how about giving us a version that lets us pick which programs we want (or do not want) installed?
The pack looks great, but there are a few packages I just have no use for.
This has been requested before, but apparently is a great deal of work, to create a Chrysalis installer script, which has so many options to install, or not install, parts of the package.
Personally, I think that Grunch is a better solution for many users, if only more programmers/developers, would create a Grunch database entry for their software. I also think that having a single repository where all software updates for programs supported by Grunch could be downloaded from, plus 2 or 3 mirror sites, would be preferable to having Grunch visit many different sites to find the update files needed, but that is a minor suggestion of my own, and might not be practical to achieve and maintain.
Chrysalis is nice for new users, and perhaps should be aimed at them specifically, and reduced in size and complexity, to reduce errors during the installation process. A smaller Chrysalis package that also included step-by-step instructions on how new users could find, download and install additional MorphOS compatible software, might be a better introductory package, than the currently constantly growing package it seems to have become.
MorphOS - The best Next Gen Amiga choice.
