I'm not a creative guy so I'm asking you folks to post up some screenshots of your MorphOS desktop. Not really interested in the background image as it doesnt add anything but how the fonts look, colors etc.

Not pictures of a full desktop but then again I did leave out the background image since, as you wrote, it does not add anything: Link

I meant, I wanted to see how your requestors look etc.

What I'm getting at is, I have an ugly desktop and I'd like to see who has what so I can copy it. LOL. I'm not really a creative guy.

Ie. this looks good (screenshots from OS4):

I did understand what you meant. I merely misused your discussion thread to plug a news announcement :-)

(Many people just browse the forum posts but do not bother to scroll down to the news articles.)

    @jPV:

I've seen that doc. While I like OS4's look, I'd like to see if any MorphOS users got creative and modified their setup in a non-OS4 kinda way. Thanks for the link, I'll re-read it and if I cant find something that looks appealing, I might update mine in the same fashion.

Nothing fancy. I didn't spend a lot of time changing the look and feel. Just a little. Man, there are so many possibilities.
I like the imAZ+ theme the most. The OS4 look is nice but it's MorphOS, not OS4.

    Hmm, nice.

I doubt though that a black theme, like 'Black Ambient' is really practical to work with.
But what's this bottom status bar there?

Combination of DOpus Start Menus, Wetter, and Statline... although Wetter stopped working while ago, and I had to remove it from use.

Another thing to mention of that screenshot, I think that many forget that they can use shadow, outline, etc effects with all texts in MUI. For example, adding shadows to button fonts makes a nice effect IMHO... gives a bit "character" there :)

Where can I get those nice drawer icons Black Ambient, or generally some nice icons?
And, does a tool like AOS3 IconCopy work on MorphOS?

    This is mine here.

I still like the default theme/background, because it is clean and well designed.
Only didn't like the icons. These are stolen from an OSX theme.

What's the compact window in the top rihgt corner?

There's few Ambient's screen grabs on AW.net and this is mine:
    grabs
Mac mini G4@1,5GHz silent upgrade + Xerox Phaser 3140 + EPSON Perfection 1240U
    Commodore C64C + 2 x 1541II + Datasette + SD-Box

I miss draggable screens... and do you? I know I'm in a minority unfortunately.
