As I wait for my Powerbook to arrive I have been reading as much as I can on MorphOS. One thing I read is that there is a limit of 120 or 128gig for a partition size? Is this correct?

Yep, SFS ist limited to 128 GiB per partition. Use IceFS for your data partition. It's limited to uuh, I don't know but certainly 2 TiB or more.

My Ice partition is broken, IceDoctor didn't help.

I've also got bad experience with IceFS. I would go for SFS and live with having 128 GB limitations. Or you could try to format it to Fat32 as it works very well in MorphOS, but I recommend that you only use that for partitions where you save files and not where you start programs.

I would avoid ICeFS, too. I tried it several times. It gets slower when more and more files are copied to the partition and I ended up with many popped up requesters and broken files. It seems IceFS is not maintained any more. Pity. Only use it with care and if you can live with data loss (I doubt that).

Don't have such problems with ICFS-partitions and I have also a lot traffic there.
But I clean partitions with ICE_Doctor from time to time......

Me neither had trouble with IceFS so far.

BTW what's the state of PFS on MorphOS? Is the code in line with Toni Wilen's "PFS3 All-In-One" updates? I read somewhere larger than 106 GiB partitions are possible with this update.

D'oh, also got my first unfixable issues with IceFS... How sad it's not maintained any more, since it's the only Amiga-ish filesystem virtually without partition limits. :-( Having shrunk my data partition to < 128 GiB I am running SFS now.
