Well, time goes by and soon 2015 will be over. What are your expecations for 2016?
Here are mine as a starter:

    MorphOS:
3.10 should be out rather soon with some nice things to come (new gfx drivers, usb isochronous mode).
    New sdk, too.

I hope that development of MorphOS on x64 will go full steam in 2016 and maybe first things will be shown later the year, but I don't expect a release for x64 in 2016 (if lucky in 2017 though).

    Software:
    Pagestream could eventually make it.
I hope for an Odyssey update. JS-JIT would be great.

    Hardware:
I don't expect new hardware (mainboards/computers) for MorphOS this year except the X5000.

    Users:
I think the slow increase will continue, but I doubt the increase will speed up significantly unless MorphOS x64 will come (and eve then I don't expect masses to come, but maybe 5 digit number of users could get reached then)

    Myself:
Hope to make my first serious application for a broader audience.

Good points there, I agree with everything! :-)

Me too hope for some kind of demo (public or recorded privately, doesn't matter) of MorphOS "4.0" x64. Or at the very least, some in-depth information about it. :-)

I look forward to see the new MorphOS IDE.

I also hope a lot on the new Radeon HD drivers, both in performance and model coverage.

    Isochronous usb transfer. ;-)

The new network stack with modern features and improved performance.

There was some talk some year ago about "Air Print" to be able to use driver-less printing with modern printers who supports it. I like that concept, and hope to see it on MorphOS at some time. (IIRC there was something with the current network drivers preventing it)

    Odyssey!

    :-)
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)
MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

    - PastePass going "gold" (as in never to be touched again)

    - Getting devs to use "panel.library" (well if I ever get around sending it upstream ;) )

    - New version of SteamDraw (was also planned for 2015.... time flies......)

    - Odds and odd ends

I wonder when PCIe-based G5 Macs will be supported, if ever.

How to measure or at least estimate user number development?

Yes, Multicast support according to geit:

Relatively easy to add according to Nadir:

replace user numbers with registration numbers.

My expectations come from the software side.
More applications, epub reader, office suite, etc.
JIT Javascript for OWB. The new Final Writer
    native version....

The hardware I use MorphOS on, gives me all I need.
It's like a Super Amiga with RTG 2D/3D graphics and audio.
That's a lot coming from an AGA A1200.

MorphOS has evolved a lot. When I purchased my Pegasos 2
from Vesalia with MorphOS 1.4.2, I said, OMG...
this little thing did cost 700€ and I can't even
open an Amigaguide file....(only after copying the needed
    files from Wb3.1).

Some good game ports would also be welcomed.

Regards and happy new Year Morphers.

    Right,
i didn't remember this one as being of use...albeit this version is something better,
I forgot to specify that I was hoping to see the Guido Mersmann one.

Software: Page Stream and start of Libre Office, or if not that revamp of Papyrous and further development, or similar project bringing office tools (sorry boys I need word processing and spreadsheet more capable then toys)
Update to web browser and Java Script would be great on web site.

HW: Nemo board (X1000) support would be good, if they do SAM and X5000 (and maybe Tabor?) that would bring full PPC diversity. I understand this not priority now.

Would love to see progress towards x64 but MOS team havent stated which boards, AMD CPUs seems preffered, and havent said anything on how long they will support PPCs which is crucial for current userbase (or will they like Linux - support both). However before the giant leap, or together with it, they need to go 64 bit and SMP and seems like X5000 (x1000 also as PPC64 sys?) and G5 PPC machines could be used to test it before move to x64

Already done. Sam460 support has been there since MorphOS 3.8 and X5000 support will come with MorphOS 3.10.

Going 64-bit and SMP etc *is* the giant leap. This breaks the Amiga legacy compatibility, and "going x64" after that point is mereley a matter of compiling for this architecture instead of PPC. The X5000 is of no use. AFAIK they are developing it on a virtual machine, and whenever physical HW is needed, they should be able to use real x64 machines, right?

Surely, old school goes 32bit sandbox VM, no prob there.
But as if I get you, having MOS 4.0 PPC64 would be great start
and yes, only G5, x1000 and potentialy X1000 and OpenPOWER is out there.

I dont get you they develop x64 MOS on VM on MAC G5 / X5000?
Shame, would be better for us to go PPC64 first and ... not vice versa.

    So they will

    a) DO it in a VM
    b) Test it on Intel x64
    c) Backport to PPC64

That could be a cause of lot of ... at least in my perception.

The most useless function ever. Especially when you can move any application to any screen at any time.

Instead of juggeling screens and windows (you need to have the information you want to pick um on the upper half of the back screen and you need to have all other screens out of the way, too), you simply use the context menu and select the screen the application should jump, too.

Exactly one click to e.g. have a shell window on the yam screen or the other way around. It even does the screen flip for you. Now you can even use drag and drop between gui components. Afterwards with one click you simply move the application back to the other screen.

On the other hand you drag the yam screen down (one click), you may need to move some other screen out of the way (another click, plus mouse move), now you have to grab the e.g. shell window to pull it more to the top to make it fully visible. To do that you may need to drag the yam screen even more down. After wards you drag the screen back up. And do what you want, which is just reading stuff from the back screen, as there is no stuff like drag and drop between screens. You also may need to move the front screen as you cannot see all gui parts of the application. Afterwards you need to drag up all screens again and reposition the windows.

These days screen dragging is just some eyecandy with no use at all. It was not implemented on purpose.

It was a little useful when applications where stuck on their screens like a cage. They aren´t anymore. Any tool can be on any screen at any time.

"It is even possible to drag the current screen down to reveal another screen behind it, (even if they have different display resolutions) so that you can view two screens simultaneously, or even drag and drop files and other content from one screen to another.

It may have been a welcome byproduct on the old OCS/ECS/AGA chipsets, but on OS3/CGX, OS4 and AROS it has been implemented on purpose.
