Hi i would like to introduce myself as a new morph user .
Name is Joacim from Norway .
I looked locally for the longest time to find a macmini G4 1.5ghz but never found one .
I did not give up hope as i wanted to try Morphos and use it as an alternative surf\emu and amiga box "hobbycomputer".
Finally i changed tactics amd bought a lowend powermac G5 with to me the right parts in it 9800pro, 4 gigs memmory and wifi, 2 drives one 700 GB the other 120.
Been playing way to much with this computer and finally decided morphos was worth the investment . I have my computer running dualboot with osx and do not visit that any more due to speed ...
There will be a allot of things to learn and things to config but looking forward to it .. And hopefully be able to contribute with something in the future ...
Welcome Adonay!
What speed G5 did you get, the dual 2.0GHz, or was it an even earlier model?
More importantly, what software might you develop for MorphOS on your newly registered G5 system?
Depending on what things I need to run, I don't think that MacOSX 10.5.8 is too slow on my dual 2.7GHz G5 system, but it has been a while since I used it for MacOSX, as I wiped the hard drive when I installed the last version of MorphOS to prepare the system for the demonstration at the Amiga30 event in Mountain View, California.
I still plan to explore how well an older version of Final Cut Pro runs on my system under MacOSX some time soon. I have to finish unpacking from my recent move to a new house first.
