The new version works fine. I've just found two minor bugs:
    1. The file of "AmiGift" seems to be corrupted. There comes after installation a message that it failed to download everything, I should restart the installation. (With the same result, of course). The installation works nevertheless fine, except AmiGift, which I don't need.
    2. If you choose another download-folder but RAM: (Could be interesting on smaller systems), everything will be downloaded, but nothing will be installed. There comes a message that the "installation is done, please reboot", but of course the original installation is untouched.

    Hello guys,

I have downloaded the different archives of the pack ultimate, then I test them with lha in in a cli. Result, the archives emulators, games and ultimate seem to be corrupted. Papiosaur should verify the integrity of all of his archives.

DrZarkov : there was error in file size for ice.lha and plexi.lha archives in installation script, i have corrected that.

Now, it will be better, sorry for the desagrement.

    About AmiGift, start here.

@ Brumiga : 3 big archives are ok here

I ran into a problem myself while installing the pack. I have a Quicksilver Powermac so I've made my first/MorphOS partition 128GB.
The instillation crashes when very close to the end because of disk space limitations.
I'm going back now and deleting what I don't intend to use, but I'm still wondering if there isn't some unrecovered disk space (because its hard to believe the pack is this large).
If indeed it is that large, perhaps there ought to be a warning so people with partitions similar to mine or smaller couldanticipate instillation problems.

Thank, I think almost everything is installed, but I'm going to have to remove some of this to gain Disk space. Tough decisions ahead though because a lot of this looks really useful.

I really like the addition of the drive and CPU monitors. Looks nice. Thanks.

So I assume you had to install everything manually? This has been a problem with previous packs and their install scripts for some people, but I don't know if the problem happens for everyone and they have done a manual install, or if the problem only happens to some people and not others.

There is no way the pack should be large enough to cause problems on a partition of 128gb. What size of free space are you seeing after installation of the Pack Ultimate and what amount of free space did you have before you started the installation?

@ Jim : 128 Gb is maximum size limit for SFS partition, maybe you should try with a partition of 125 Gb or 120Gb.

@ Blasterreal : thanks a lot for the info, i correct this.

ps: Thanks to Jambalah for his italian translation of the installer script !!!

    @Papiosaur,

If you don't already have a several MorphOS users to help you with testing of the Ultimate Pack, I am sure you could get some more volunteers if you would just ask. Most of us don't mind trying it out and reporting any problems we find, but some might see it as a black mark against MorphOS developers if it is released as "Final" when it still has some obvious bugs to be worked out.

This is perhaps more important now, since we have more new MorphOS users that are unfamiliar with their systems. After all, this Ultimate Pack is probably most useful to those new users that do not wish to do all the searching and installing and configuring of all those individual programs on their own, and may not have the skills to do so without running into trouble.

I applaud your efforts and those of the people that have contributed to this project and only offer my opinion as a form of support to make it as successful as it can be.

Yes Dave, I'm wondering what's going on myself. I'd only added a couple of gigabytes of soundfiles and video to test MOS on what was a fairly fresh instillation. I'm trying to hunt down what is using he additional space now. But since I have nothing on here I'm commited to retaining, I may reinstall the OS on a slightly smaller partition (as Papiosaur suggested) and reinstall the pack.

    It's a nice "upgrade" I like it.

It of course fills my 512 meg sys partition. Maybe I need a larger sys.

you can move drawer named 'Applications' in other partition and change some assigns in add-startup script in wbstartup.

I will purpose this options in next version of the pack ;-)

Why don't you make a pack that is completely downloadable with installer at once ? Maybe you can offer both solutions if it isn't much of a problem.

If I want to install your pack at our Belgian Amiga Club meetings on new user's machines it's kind of a problem. Having the pack on USBstick with installer would be nice.

I found a minor bug: When you register "Boxicon" it will only be registered until you reboot the computer, if you restart it's unregistered again. I found a fix for that: I've replaced Boxicon with the last available MorphOS version from the Boxicon homepage. This version will keep (the free available!) keyfile.

What happened to the download for this? I'd like to try it. Are you making a new version for 2.7?

I'm still searching, but until now I did not find any incompatibilities with OS 2.7. Everything is just working fine. Yet...
