No clue if it could help you, but maybe it is related to some AHI configuration?

MPlayer and ANR can be configured to access AHI either by unit (0-3) or by device (and the device access can be redirected to unit 0 in AHI configuration btw).

So you're saying that supporting new hardware should have priority over support for already registered users (by providing fixes to their problems) ? I can't really agree on that.

Yes I do mean that, UNTIL you get at least all the currently usable desktops supported (Emac and Powermac G4) fixes IMHO should take a somewhat lower priority, and maybe you should release a "service pack" of these fixes you all are saying instead of a formal release, it would help your publicity greatly IF you could release, by the same date the Amiga contest going on ends for the X1k, Powermac support and then get someone wiling to do a comparison (Maybe the new X1k owner) of what i guess to be OS 4.2 and 2.5.(If you could pull this off, imagine the OS4 fanboys see MOS PowerMac G4 kick the features (Not performance, if I anticipate correctly) of the X1k's OS4 sky high.
    My Macs:
    Powerbook G4 ALU 1.5GHZ 15" 1.5GB OSX.5.8
    Powermac G4 MDD 1.5GHZ OSX.5.8 MOS2.7

Want a part for a Mac? Let me know, I'll see what I can do.

Amithlon is amazing, questions and help I can provide.

Yes, you want your hardware supported now, we get it :)

Yay, it's your lucky day, I was asked to share this link with you, that will give you some bits of information about the upcoming release.

    @Nostromo

PowerMac isn't going to be supported in 2.5 for sure. Maybe in 2.6, but who knows...

Out of interest, is any power management functionality likely to be supported in the next release?
Even an auto-power-off after xx-minutes inactivity would be welcome.

Alternatively, if anyone is aware of a utility which performs this function, please could you point me in the right direction.

Thanks all, I look forward with patience and interest to the next release and continue to enjoy using 2.4 in the meantime.

I wonder if there is any way I can ask if there's any news on updates without getting the response, "If there was news we would have told you, that's like how it works"

You know, I don't think there is a way of asking...

    So, any news?

The Morphos team is notoriously secretive about releases for some unknown reason. Luckily, since the commercial version of Morphos they are more forthcoming with info. But its still like getting information from North Korea...

I recently saw a 45 min report from North Corea*. I never saw something like that from butterfly country...

*) those interested in that report should move their browser to arte.tv. If not surfing from .de or .fr better use a .de or .fr proxy, since Arte blocks media content to non .de or .fr users. The report was quite interesting but of corse pretty limited since the report team was prety much controlled by NC officials. But they were able to get a few interesting impressions.
