    @papiosaur

As I reported above, I managed to installed both kickstart roms (after renaming them so they could be recognized by E-UAE).

I'm also able to play some adf games using the Run in E-UAE (A500) preset. I haven't yet been able to use the A1200 preset.

But I want now to configure and being able to use the rhLauncher. So I opened the rhLauncher and clicked in the Settings tab, to find that the paths point to directories not found in my system. Before I mess up things, and since I'm using Chrysalis, please let me know what do I need to the change the following paths to point to:

    E-UAE Executable Systen:emuls/e-uae/e-uae
    Kickstart images System:emuls/e-uae/kickstarts
    Disk images System:emuls/e-uae/roms

As you told me my kickstarts are in System/Emulation/E-UAE/Roms (this is kick.rom for Kick rom 3.1 and kick13.rom for Kick Rom 1.3). Then my workbench adf is in System:Emulation/E-UAE/HardDisks/Workbench/

I'd appreciate again your help as I thing I'm getting somewhere :-)

[@papiosaur Thanks for confirming the paths to use in rhLauncher.

    I have more questions:

    1. Why when I restart rhLauncher it only finds "1 kickstart and 7 roms in seven groups," when I have 2 roms in System:Emulation/E-UAE/Roms and nothing else?

    2. Why it only sees 1 kickstart rom? How can I determineI which rom is not being found by rhLaunch?

Besides those 2 roms I only have one adf (wrokbench) in System:Emulation/E-UAE/HardDisks.

    >"roms" for rhlauncher correspond to your ADF (Floppies drawer)
I have 2 kickstarts in Roms drawer too but Rom1.3 is not recognized (only 256 Ko), i don't know why, maybe we can found another Rom1.3.

Besides those 2 roms I only have one adf (wrokbench) in System:Emulation/E-UAE/HardDisks.

    >You must mount Worbench 3.1 ADF and copy "all files" from it to System:Emulation/E-UAE/HardDisks...

After you can launch any Apps 68k and Whdload game directly from Ambient (Launch with E-UAE (1200) in contextual menu).

@papiosaur Thanks to you help we are going places :-)

I have tested my to rom images (kick13.rom and kick.com) by launching games using the Run in E-UAE A500 and A1200 shortcuts, but when I select the option Run in UAE instead, I get an error message reading "Failed to load kickstart image kick.rom"

How come if the same rom works with the other shortcuts? Or, is it not related to the roms saved in SYSTEM:EMULATION/E-UAE/Roms?

Also, if this is not too much trouble, could you please explain how can I do this "After you can launch any Apps 68k and Whdload game directly from Ambient (Launch with E-UAE (1200) in contextual menu) mentioned in your last post?

    Thank you.

    Hi!

Sorry to be brining this old thread up but I am partially in the same boat with WeiXing3D, since I want to configure UAE as well :)

    My questions:

    1) In which exactly path I should I put the WHDLoad key?
    2) How do I disable the visual filter on UAE? (graphics look altered/smoother than the original, in all games I have tried)
    3) How do I change/configure the mouse/joy ports? I.e. mouse on port 0 + Joystick on Port 1 or two Joysticks in both Ports.
    4) I get the same kickstart error with WeiXing3D once executing the A1200 shortcut option (A500 runs well).
    5) Regarding WHDLoad execution, after I install everything (with Workbench disk etc), do i just right click on the .slave and execute it under A1200 emul?

    General MorphOS questions:

    1) Is there a calibration utility for USB Joystics?
    2) Is it possible to make use of the obsolete gaming ports found in some SoundBlasters?

    Hi, this is some answers:

    >You must copy this file to workbench:c/ directory.

    3) How do I change/configure the mouse/joy ports? I.e. mouse on port 0 + Joystick on Port 1 or two Joysticks in both Ports.
    >I think you can change this in your UAE config file.

    5) Regarding WHDLoad execution, after I install everything (with Workbench disk etc), do i just right click on the .slave and execute it under A1200 emul?
    >yes, your games must be on a path specified in your UAE config file.

The truth is that I never went pass the minimum configuration necesary to right click on adf and have it running in Run-In-UAE (A1200) and A500.

I have never been able to configure or use the rhlauncher or UAE Launcher.

I wish RunInUAE worked as good as it does in OS4.1

I am running and using Pack Ultimate in its latest version fro MOS 3.3 but I don't have, or I haven't found a "nicely configured E-UAE." othern than the UAE Launcher developed by Samuel Devulder. The launcher is pre-configured for A500 only.

Unfortunately, I'm still clueless when it comes to cinfigure and and use E-UAE in Morphos.

In the mesntime, could someone tell me why I'm still getting the following message in E-UAE Information: Failed to looad Kickstart image 'kick.rom,' when my 'kick.rom' file is saved in System: Emulation/E-UAE/Roms/ ?

rhlaunch also says under Kickstart: Kickstart not found. My Settings tab is showing Kickstart images: System:Emulation/E-UAE/Roms. I've never been able to get the rhlaunch to work at all. By the way, when I point the file path to this, my kick.rom doesn't show up in the list, in fact directory looks empty. But a look inside the directory from Ambient shows: dummy file, kick.rom, kick13.rom and rom.key file in that folder.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Perhaps that kick.rom is no compatible. Try to use a kick.rom for the a1200.

Eureka! Today I made good progress in configuring the rhlauncher of E-UAE. I tried several roms until rhlaunch recognized one.

I think Amiga Forever roms don't work even after renaming it to kick.rom. I'm using kick31.rom from my A1200.

I still don't know why some of the adf games stored in my SYS:Emulastion/E-UAE/Floppies are not showing; just the ones with short file names. Or at least, that is what I have noticed.

The other thing is that for the games with multiple adf disks, it shows the correct number of images, but it doesn't list them as adf or let me instert each file in each corresponding drive (DF0, DF1, etc.).

      Any more suggestions are welcome.

I also offer my help to help others who are still struggling to get this far.
