    I set it to 0.
One needs to be quick to hit ESC, but
you can simply press any key and it won't boot also.

There is already CBE for AmigaOS (ClipBoard Enhancer), maybe aminet.

It working a bit bogusly though. Maybe someone would check it out? (one copy tends to fill up many-many clipboard units for some reason)

I'd like to see a firewire stack in MorphOS 1.5.

I agree with Miky060... the lack of integrated DefIcons and the option of listing by name in ambient is quite annoying and makes wb3.9 or even the original 3.1 wb more comfortable... this is not a flame! with wb3.1 at least if I double click an icon and it doesn't have an icon a requester pop ups and allows me to write before the file "multiview" "lha x" or any other command... I've only used MorphOS 1.3 and 1.4 a little and that was the most annoying thing I could find in Ambient.

Preview of jpgs and pngs as icons would be cool (it's one of the few windows features I'd like to have...)

The themes should be redesigned a little... I know we have gradients, it's great to have gradients!, but there's no need to select colours so different... this is specially visible in the preferences... it looks like webpages designed by people with not much experience that put gradients everywhere... there's a lack of consistency. I don't mean that they are badly designed, what I want to say is that the colours of the gradients should be selected to create a more uniform look and the colours shouldn't be so different... It's ok to make a gradient for a window background from very light blue (i mean nearly white) to white, but it's not ok to make it from blue or dark blue to white. I hope the designers don't feel offended, creating a skin takes a lot of work and I probably wouldn't do it better, but it's just my humble opinion...

A firewire stack would be great :-)

And TCP/IP and JunGL wouldn't sound bad... I'd like to see Blender running on MorphOS :-)

I thing Ambient in 1.5 must be hard improved: most of all to be a serious update we should have "filetypes" (or if you prefer: "DefIcons") implemented (if I double click on a JPG I wanna see Multiview or others show it! If I doubleclick on a LHA archive I wanna see it unpacked or listed!, If I double click on a mp3 I wanna see it played by Kaya or AAmp
    I agree 110%

    - Ambient fixed and improved, things as a amidock stile bar and menu stile bar or comfigurable bar ( that you can make that appears amidock or other things... ) could be better.
    - Very fixed and improved Voyager
    - Mos version of AMirc ?
    - chip ram emulation
    - paula emulation and paula to AHI redirector.

    And others things...

Sadly I fear we will not see this ABSOLUTELY NEEDED and simple feature really soon, it seems developer/s that should implement it is/are still thinking about wich is the best way to implement it. So still no work started. If someone can prove I'm wrong I'll be happy to listen it.

It's sad, Ambient could be great but seems Genesi don't care if people will continue to use Workbench or better Opus Magellan on their Pegasos for a long long time.. :-( :-( :-(

How hard can it be? to execute a program with the help of file extension? REALLY!!? Where you choose the correct program and maybe some parameters?

It seems the author would like to implement something better than DefIcons, something more similar to Opus filetypes manager, but for what I know, the needed work to do this is still not started. :-(
Feel free to correct me if my infos are wrong.

The thing is, this DefIcons feauture would require like 10 lines of code (well not 10 lines, but a snippet).
If they aren't finished with "this new feauture" @ 1.5 then there will be another 6-12 months before MOS got it.
So until then, it would be benefitial to have DefIcons or something like it.

I 101% agree. I told this to them and on BT2 ML too many times, but when I remember of this I'm considered too "complaining". But they should understand by these posts that I'm not the only cares about this importnat and simple feature. However I still see noone MOS developers answering us here. Where are there? Are they not listening!?
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Genesi! WE ABSOLUTELY need this feature, NOW.

Okay, some things, I'd consider "nice" and shouldn't be too hard to add...

-Easy way to change program/drawer icon. Maybe by dragging one over icon in "Information" -window?

-Possibility to select drawer icon when creating new one.

Maybe have some directory containing drawer icons, then there could be "select icon" -button in "New drawer" -requester, that would open window with various drawer icons, and you could select one.

*very* useful, because currently ambient just returns a "file is not executable" if there is no #?.info with correct tooltypes available

yeah, even a simple requester asking the user a command like in 2.x would be enough... at the moment it's even worse than WB2.x.

And another feature I need is the possibility of seeing files by name... If I open a big drawer with lots of icons I end up with overlapped icons in the top left corner :-(

A CPU only ide.device would be useful too... I wouldn't mind a slow down if I can be sure my data is safer...
