Seems that some URLs of Youtube let URL-Extractor going crazy (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z-bKfdtXGn8&pp=ygUjcMOkc3NlIHB1ZmZlciBwYWxhdHNjaGlua2VuIGZvbGdlIDI%3D):

Hmm, its because the stream-infos contains double quotes, this corrupted the body/gadgets of the Requester.
I uploaded a halve-fix for this, I now remove double quotes from the stream-infos, so the Requesters body now shows the stream-infos.

I think this is a bug in the original script.
Can someone check if this works for the OS4 version?

    @igracki

i have tested the yt script on OS4 and it seems that with certain videos the extraction is also broken.

    "Amiga Story" (working)

    "Das Rätsel der Riesenlaufvögel" (broken)

Is it possible to select between mplayer and ffplay as player? There is a line in yt.cfg for ffplay path, but i havent figured out how to use it. I'd like to watch regular YT videos with MPlayer and live streams with ffplay (as MPlayer doesnt support live streams)

Michael Trebilcock released a new version of his super YT 2.8.
Here is my MorphOS modification http://ghh.8u.cz/friends/YT_2.8mod.lha
There is a "ytplay" program in the archive that will run another modified ytplay.rexx script with the video address in the clipboard.
In the yt.conf file, edit only the path to mplayer.

Here is the new v2.9 of Youtube URL Extractor.
This seems to need curl v7.53.1 (included).
Before I used curl v7.43.0 this doesn't work, also curl v8.2.1 from SDK doesn't work.
Maybe some can port curl 8.10.0?

Michael Trebilcock also noticed the issues with his script and proposed using ANDROID option.
Just tried it and yes using ANDROID works!

When using the yt-search script you have to edit the yt-search_action script and add the ANDROID option in the almost last line where the yt.rexx script is called:
    Code:

    Run >NIL: rx >CON:100/200/600/300/yt-Search/Close rexx:yt.rexx "{VidURL}" WAIT ANDROID $what

If you are using SmartClipboard.sbar to automatically run the script if you copy a youtube url to the clipboard you have to go the Action-Editor of SmartClipboard.sbar and add the option ANDROID in the command column.

yt-search via shell works now! But how do i get it to work with OWB and Invidious Search engine? When i right klick the yt link in OWB and select "Play Video...", i get the "unable to find video information" again.

I just had to add "ANDROID" to the context menu entry in the OWB prefs
