    > MorphOS 2.7 with Powerbook G4 support

    Not likely according to DrZarkov:

"MorphOS 2.7 steht uebrigens kurz vor der Veroeffentlichung. Das MorphOS Team hatte wieder die bekannten Powerbooks dabei, aber da fehlt noch zu viel um diese Versionen wirklich zu veroeffentlichen."
    http://www.a1k.org/forum/showpost.php?p=381718

    Rough translation:
"MorphOS 2.7 release is imminent. The MorphOS Team brought the known PowerBooks with it but there's still too much missing to release those [MorphOS] versions."

Ah well, MorphOS 2.6 is not ideal, there is few bugs with some PowerMacs, on some of them audio is not supported, on all of them audio in is not supported but we still love them (MorphOS Team) ;) A few bugs in PB release - who cares. That is gonna be 1st Amiga system on laptop! Bring it on guyz!

Wonder if they could just release a bug fix for the PowerMac issues (?) without bumping the version?

i.e. according to that link, and I don't know how official it is, why an imminent release of 2.7?

Yeah, 2.6.1 would be as bad as having for instance 1.4.x ;-)

I thought I read that Return to Castle Wolfenstein was done. All pizza were delivered and such...

Hopefully that will be one less item...

I think the updates from 1.4 to 1.4.5 were not as minor as the sub digit increments were suggesting. But who cares for numbers?
The point is: An update (whether just powermac fixes or new features) in a not too distand future will be highly appreciated by many. And I think most will not care too much whether it will be named 2.6.foo-far or 2.7. Updating is easy and costs a few minutes only.
I remember when I worked for Tiscali Germany (unimportant student part time job) years ago there was a decision to number the customized Tiscali IE browser bluntly V10.0. Just because all (at least the important windows' ones) other browsers out there had minor numbers. The more the merrier :-) And why a shy 5.3.1 RC1 when a blunt 10.0 sounds just so souvereign and far ahead over the competition (or in German: Nicht kleckern, klotzen!)

    - Well, and if there would be a powerbook release under the tree i wouldn't refuse that. But I can wait, my current maschines make the wait nice enough.

Seems a bit optimistic with only about 6 weeks left before Christmas, don't you think?

I share your hopes for all of the things listed, but would be happy to get one or two of them completed in time for this Christmas. My top two would then be MorphOS 2.7 with support for the G4 PowerBook and Hollywood Designer v3.0, but hardware acceleration for Cairo would be great too.

I have not heard of any work on an Office Suite that would give me hope that one would be completed before this Christmas.

I don't know about your sister's cookie, Zylesea, but I'm with you on the rest of that list.
Better yet, how about snow Christmas Eve that melts away Jan 2nd with unseasonably warm weather for the rest of the season?

And I too will patiently wait for any further revisons (2.6 is working quite well for me).

Well HW accel for cairo is NOT going to happen for a minute as the only guys that can do it are actively developing and bugfixing Morphos MAC PPC releases (2.6 pmac, 2.7 pb etc)

as far as Wolfenstein i've been dying for it. Even bought the game! I think Bigfoot finished the port a few months ago and hasnt released it yet due to not enough donations or something? I started a thread on it but nothing happened...

Judging from the comments in this thread I'd say that at least Kronos and stephen_robinson do :-)

It's certainly not "always". But when I do, I do it because I don't feel the need to repeat what others (or myself) said before. I'll rather use the nice technical concept of the WWW called hyperlinking.

    > Are you a bot???

Yes, obviously ;-) (or would you believe a bot that was programmed to answer "no" to that question?)

Way more official, because you can verify it by watching the video presentation yourself:

a nitpicking bot to be precise :-)

Anyway my wishlist ... just some bugfixes would be good enough.

    - Problem when you have more as 1GB ram in it powermac quiksilver
    - My Voodoo4 PCI acting strange in it
    - I want SATA PCI-card in it.

I think it's better to first polish MorphOS for the already supported hardware before moving to yet another Mac. But if I have to choose something that would be really cool: dualcpu support ! However if Santa bring is with Xmas 2012 that's also fine by me ( together with a Powermac G5 quadcore MorphOS 3.0 license )
