    How to uninstall in MorphOS?

I like to know if there is any special route on how to uninstall software in Morphos?

There is some games that came with Chrysalis I'd like to remove. I don't play so much games anymore...

    Thanks for clarifying

Some software have uninstall option but it is very rare. Luckily there is not much to delete. Just remove program and it is gone. Sometimes they are leaving some config files to ENVARC: (SYS:Prefs/Env-Archive) you have to delete yourself.

There are of course expections and sometimes some software add some stuff to S:User-Startup or SYS:WBStartup but it is rare. Sometimes they install additional libraries to SYS:Libs but it is not an error to leave old files there.

You have the option to unistall via Grunch (but I can't remember whether it is possible exclusively for programs you have updated or install via its interface or not). Otherwise you can do it manually (just delete the folder of the desired app/game). Problem is that a great portion of software may require third party libs that has to be located and deleted manually as well. It is possible for author(s) to deliver software with unistaller scripts but regretfully you won't find many, plus there isn't a specific unistaller program (at least that I am aware of) :(

Further to the above, leaving unused libs won't affect the performance of your mos box (i.e. fragmenting your system). But it's always nice to have a clear libs drawer :P

Thanks - I deleted 2 games for testing. I use the Chrysalis pack, and the games are still in the droplist at the top list header "Games". Naturally I want them gone from the droplist as choosing them now doesn't boot anything anyway

Can anyone explain how that is done?

Thanks Papi - will look into fixing tomorrow. Why is it called CRABUM that is a pretty odd name? :-D

I wanted to report that the solution from Papi worked fine. This is what I needed to do in detail description:

Right click on the top list (Ambient) and then go to desktop and choose "menu prefs" in the droplist. Then you must choose "load" and select the CRABUM file. in this file you can mark the software you like to delete from dropdown list and then selecte "remove", and then save

They don't dissapear directly. I had to reboot before they where gone. But it worked fine.

If you want a clean way, just use Grunch for install and deinstall.
