    Nice site, I donated a little something one year ago. Might do the same this year.

    I tried to compile simplemail 0.36 on my own,
    but it does not compile correctly under MorphOs.
    There seems to be some issues concerning AmiSSL3.

    Yes, that would turn the link database it is now into a real software archive.

    This would require an alternate location for each and every listed archive to exist in the first place. I'm sure on Luky's site there're also archives listed which have only that single location and would have to be uploaded elsewhere to get an alternate location (the program you mentioned in your initial posting being one example). That's what I think would turn it into a software archive.

    The simplest way is just to store copies locally + periodic backup. This is how MorphOS Files site is operated. Every archive has a local copy (some are only local copy, the ones not having "local mirror" link).

    Yes, that's exactly what I alluded to.

    > This is how MorphOS Files site is operated.

    Yes, I'm aware of that.

    @Velcro_SP

    There's an higher cost for that, isn't there, as opposed to LukySoft's database?

    In theory, yes. However the site is hosted for free from the start, up to now, and there are no signs that this will change in the near future. Domain registration costs are voluntarily covered by Ruud (there is an alternative, cost-free "morphos-files.ppa.pl" one for emergency cases). The infrastructure consists of 50 kB of PHP code (including simple admin panel), 170 kB of database and (at the time of writing) 907 MB of archives. Backing it up is not a big deal, I have two backups on different machines.

    To sum it up - running the site costs me nothing except of some time.

    Thank you very much for your support, Velcro_SP!

    I'm just checking whole MorphOS software links. Some files/homepages needed new links, some updates, few links were removed. This complete occasional check is not completeled yet, it will take more time.

    I will consider new features like alternate download links, maybe local storage of more files - very few files are already hosted only on local server.

    I set default language of whole database incl. sw descriptions to english instead of czech translation, so link http://morphos.lukysoft.cz without /en/ at the end can be used for english version of MorphOS Software database now.

    I'm glad that MorphOS Software database is useful for someone. I will continue with regular updates of the site in 2011+ :)

    I just gave it a try. When leaving Arkon for space station Atlantis, unfortunately the game exits with an error window titled "HollywoodPlayer" reporting "Could not find music 80! File: Raum06.hws (current line: 584 - In function: PlayMusic)".
