When I boot MOS 3.1 CD the video mode goes out of my monitor range. I guess I'l need to hook up another monitor to do the upgrade?

I had similar issue, no picture through DVI. Found an old older monitor and connected it and got installed. (Although this occured already with 3.0, but same thing when upgrading to 3.1)

I had a similar issue when trying to upgrade, found an old crt monitor to install 3.1 and that did the job.

But then a few weeks down the line i decided to install a fresh 3.1 and needed to hook it back up to the old monitor and everything went well until I put it back on my other monitor. It didn't have any screen-modes for that monitor. But that's when I sussed out it was down to my monitor switchbox, connected the mini straight to the monitor and a new install and no issues.

You hold down ctrl while booting.

Good advice . Unfortunately new problem "MorphOS boot.img is too old" and then it reboots. How can it be too old?

    -EDIT-
Working now, thanks to GEIT on IRC.

Boot holding 'C' and when it starts to read the CD, hold CTRL.
