my mistake.....since i have heard no news i just assumed....my bad....no is mozilla itself with the mail client and everyhting being ported or just firebird?

nah, it's more like Mozilla has internal things that we don't normally think about as internal to a program. For instance the toolbar uses it's on internal routines, vice anything like MUI or ClassAct. (Or so I've been told.)
Let's hope they're not gonna try to port the whole Mozilla platform. That would take some 3 years or so! If they just ported Firebird, 99% of the Amiga/Pegasos users would be pleased.

I agree, that Firebird would be enough, but the last time I downloaded the sources, Firebird contained *nearly all* the Mozilla sources plus a few additions. So it is not so much easier, to just port Firebird. You need the nspr-lib and the GUI stuff for Mozilla and Firebird, the rest is quite easy to compile anyway..
