So, a probably stupid question, but after I connect my dead peg2 to a pc or another (working) peg2 via a serial cable what is it that I have to do next to grab the serial output of the dead peg? Do I simply fire up a term, do I have to connect with some arguments....? Please explain this to me someone who has done it before. Thanks!

You connect both computers with null-modem cable, then launch some terminal program. I've used TeraTermPro and Putty succesfully on PC. On the second Pegasos you can use LogTool in serial port capture mode. Remember to set terminal to 115200 bps, 8N1.

thx man! I'll try that. So, it's not a simple serial cable I need, but rather a null modem one, is this correct?
