    try "memtest VERBOSE EXTENSIVE LOOPS=10" for a more accurate result. Right now as it is it seems you get no errors, but there obviously is a problem as you can't actually use more than 1gb of RAM.

    Hi vulture,

    thanks, this is the result:
    boot:> memtest VERBOSE EXTENSIVE LOOPS=10
    Allocated memory at 0x2AB378C0 -> 0x7F92D0BF, 1423923200 bytes
    Writing 0x00000000...

    amd I have now, always in about two seconds : Ram Disk: 97.1MB free, 300.0KB/97.4MB used

    any ideas ?

    thanks
    regards

    Well.. that is no result, what did you do to verify it was actually working on those other OSes?

    Found this for Linux.

    Hi Golem,
    this one tool http://www.mupper.org/memtester in not working very well as many other peg2 users with > 512Mb ,so your idea is very good but I need a tool right for the high memory.

    I have also found this one url (useful) http://www.powerdeveloper.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1301&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

    I remember you, I have rev. 2B5 with last Smart Firmware 16/12/2005.

    Do I need to test with Crux ?, other memtester tools ? Any ideas ?

    thanks a lot!
