I have a Mac Mini very sick now. Kernel problem.

This "iso" does what to the Mac Mini?
    Does it remove OSX?
Does it change the booting sequence?
How do you know if the image of the CD is ok?.

Right now I am starting at the beginning.
How to quick format a Hard drive?

    In a cave with ???????

    TIA

I'm not sure what you are actually asking ......

What the CD "does" is booting MorphOS (if you press C while powerup that is), nothing more, nothing less.

Once that is done YOU can decide wether you want to install it onto HD.

In that process you get asked wether you want to utilize the whole HD for MorphOS, or if you want to utilize only the free space on it (in which case you might want to look at:
    dual boot setup ).

After you've done that you should reboot the Mac and have a working MorphOS on it.

Formating a partition (I'll assume thats what you men) can be done from Ambient's tools-menu. You should allways use "quick format" since their is no point in "format" with the filesystems used.

    No idea what that means.

This would depend on what you do with the iso, in itself it does absolutely nothing. If you write it to a CD and boot it, you will have the option to install MorphOS with it. The default behaviour is to erase whatever is already present on your mini, and install MorphOS as the only OS, this means MorphOS will boot by default.

If you boot the CD you can check the contents by opening a shell, and in the root directory of the CD running the command "md5chk MD5SUMS".

For a simple setup with just MorphOS, just go through the installer with the default options, for a more advanced (dualboot?) setup you should check jaca's guide.

TY I'm not sure if the Mac Mini I won on Ebay is not all there? An error message appears at the start of the boot process and requests to press the restart button.
Apple has a Hardware test which doesn't seem to work as it should.

Since OSX and now MorspOS are not booting when I press the C while power up.

I am now RTFMing to trouble shoot the Mac Mini
Seems like a long journey to register MorphOS

If you want to use the apple hardware test you need to hold alt (or the equivalent) rather than C and then select hardware test from the boot options that come up.
This presumes you've got the OSX install disc in the drive :)

It appears that the Install Disks sent with G4 Mini are for an INTEL Mac Mini.
Install disks are machine specific :(

dude, burn the iso again on the wife's setup, use burn or equivalent, then boot it into the macmini, as explained. If the drive is corrupted, anyway, just follow through with the recommended install procedure on the iso. I doubt anyone will come off of their Mac OSX install disk to assist you in this matter. The iso boots the system, and gives you a feel of morphos, even without installing

You dont need to mount it, and it wont do anything to your wifes machine as long as your not booting it and selecting to install it.

To burn the iso, download it, save it to your downloads folder or any other place you will be able to find it. Open up diskutility located in your applications/utility folder. Select burn disk, then select from image. A requester will open and you select the morphOS.iso file you downloaded, select start and let it do its thing. Eject this disk when complete, take it to your mini and insert it. Restart the mini while holding the C key on your keyboard, it will boot into the MorphOS disk, select install, leave everything as the default and install. Ignore the warning that the partition isnt the correct size, its not talking about the one MOS will install to. Once complete reboot your mini and MOS will start, be sure to eject the CD as it will load from the disk again if its still in the drive.

THIS WILL DELETE MAC OS X FROM THE MINI IF YOU FOLLOW THE DEFAULT INSTALL.
