    Hey Folks,

Well, I got my Efika up and running with MorphOS 2.1 yesterday. It looks like they fixed all the stability issues of 2.0!. I havent seen a crash yet. Here is my list of official MorphOS newbie questions!.
    Try to be nice!

    1. If I want to download 68k Amiga Apps to run, which version should I download if they give CPU-FPU options? Ex: 020, 030, 040-fpu.....

    2. Is there any way to bookmark sites with Sputnik?

    3. Where is the MorphOS version of Aminet? I remember seeing a link to a site somewhere?

I'll start with those 3 and add more as I think of them

    1. Trance emulates upto 68060. You can take that if it is available for a certain application. Otherwise I'd say, take the 040 or at third the 020 version. As all of them are emulated there shouldn't be a difference between them. If you have some hungry applications you try the different versions or measure their performance. Usually, you won't notice the difference.
    2. Not yet. You can either startup at "continue from last time", add it to the toolbar or make your own start page with all those links inside it.

    @Sprocki,

    Thanks for the replies!

Yea, I know about the MOS section of Aminet. I was thinking of a different site that had just MorphOS stuff orginized into categories?

A good list of MorphOS software, still mantained and updated, is here:
    http://www.pegasosppc.cz/software_en.html
It's not an archive, it just contains links to the software. Registered users at that portal can add/update links.
It's quite good and the most comprehensive software library for MorphOS since the "demise" of MorphOS-news.de.

    Kind regards,
    Andrea

I've got a few newbie questions too...

Is the behaviour of the shell command "Dir opt i" intended? I resorted to copying the old workbench 3.1 Dir to sys:MorphOS/C (and calling it oDir because it sounds funny) so that I can still step through directories when I want to.

Also, is there a general way of setting the audio volume in software/system settings? It's just that my speakers lack their own volume control. btw I'm very glad that sound output is now supported on the Efika!
PPC assembly ain't so bad... ;)

Never ever touch "Sys:Morphos/"!!! If you want to copy old commands in c: or libs or whatever always in Sys:c sys:libs etc.

Oh... I think I knew that. But what's it matter if nothing is being overwritten or deleted?

Another thing... Does MorphOS still know how to do a warm reset?

"Also, is there a general way of setting the audio volume in software/system"

you can use 'volume sbar' to adjust volume. (rmb on screen depth and choose modules/volume.)
