    No way Jos?...

    For 299 US$ I Think I could buy an entire EFika v.2!!!

Yes... these modules are no more made, but will be made new computers and more performant if powered with PPC 8641 and PPC 8610...
Bill Gates "Think!", Steve Jobs: "Think different!" So... Let these guy continue blabbering thinking and enjoy computing! We are on Amiga!

Not sure tbh; it's a Gouda, aged for 4-6 months I'd say.

Hahaha you havent learned about vapour products? Many ppl love their pegs and want to protect their investment. Its pretty cool hw and fun to use instead of off the shelf freescale re-badged stuff :-)

When and where did Genesi ever sell off the shelf Freescale re-badged stuff, other than perhaps a few (a handful tops) development boards for developers?

    :-?

Regarding the CPU module, why don't you try ebay? An auction will give you the most fair price IMHO. I might even throw in a bid myself, but I think $299 is way over the top. Maybe half of it...?

When the Pegasos 2 reached its end of line it was being sold for $399, and this was a complete bundle of a 1GHz G4 CPU card *and* a Pegasos 2 mainboard, brand spanking new.

First, I used to work for Genesi so know a lot about them. The new boards are re-badged.

As far as quoting peg2 pricing, its very simple its NOT MADE anymore this makes it very RARE and valuable.

No matter how rare an Amiga/Pegasos item may be..
It's never worth more than someone is willing to pay.

eBay is where you should list it.

What new boards exactly? AFAIK no new boards has been released since Efika 1?

Thanks to magnetic, I now know that a PEG2 is rare and valueable ;-)

With the nonexistant updates for MorphOS, I got the impression, that a PEG2 is a car who's fuel isn't produced anymore... nevertheless I keep my PEG2's, because I'm sure I'll regret the sale ..

    Hi Magnetic,

I'm ok to exchange your CPU with 1 liter of fuel.
It will disapear in the future, this makes it very RARE and valuable. :-P

Why will you regret it exactly?
With the years coming it will finally become another obsolet computer, even more with such occasional
    OS updates as MOS ones.

So... frequent OS updates would make you use one OS over another?

Perhaps I'll regret because of nostalgic reasons.
Amiga was a great approach to the perfect machine, and MorphOS is a even better thing.

Unfortunately the spirit within the scene and the morphteam doesn't contribute any more ...
Nevertheless a PEG remains part of my personal history, although it'll mark the end of my personal Amiga-time ... I see more future in opensource than in "closed secret teams" ..no matter how good their code is....
