Hello,
So, as you know, I've ported Python-2.4 on Morphos. There is 2 links on this page to know more things about it. But it's in French so for my English friends, I'm going to explain you more details here in this langage:
- My port has starded in August 2004.
- It's a NATIVE port => no ixemul. I've recoded many functions of libc !!
- Morphos version is the first one to be a shared library on all "Amiga compatibles".
- It's not last good thing: You 'import' dynamiques C modules ! and there will be a SDK to create your own module (easy, as described in official Python documentations).
Some guys have a private archive (as lugduweb or henes) to play a bit with it. So, it's not a vapor-ware
It's time to have great applications on Morphos !
PS: Versions 4.x on the wiki works, but you must put the content of Lib/ into LIBS:python2.4, or run the binary on the root of sources (Python-2.4/) path, or you can't do things like "import os".
Check this with Snoopdos...

Yomgui
