    Hi everybody,

I´ve been away for some time (somewhere end of last year or so).
(mother in the hospital, uncertain future with my job and so on).

I was wondering what`s the status of MorphOS....
    What`s Genesi doing.....
    I´ve read something about MOS1.4.4....

    Can somebody enlighten me? :-)

    Thanks,

    Spidey

MorphOS is dead, 1.4.4 is the last version, just a bugfix release (but important fixes like some filesystem limitations), MorphOS 1.5 will never be released...

It is far from dead :-)

    timofonic:

I guess you read Paul Watzlawick "Anleitung zum Unglücklichsein" (i.e.: "manual for getting unfortunate" - don't knwo if it is translated to other languages, but it's a grat reading and somehow Timofonics words remind me of some paragraphs of that book)

Please back up your claim with fact before you go making pronouncements like this. Otherwise you are trolling large.

Will you "upgrade" that statement to "MorphOS is dead, 1.5 is the last version, MorphOS 1.6 will never be released..." after 1.5 release? :-)

You know, just like you changed "1.4 is the last version" to "1.4.4 is the last version" :-D

Don't blame Timofonic, the OS devs keep telling him that the last release was the latest to get rid of him but it never worked out ;-)

to the statement I can say something similiar too, that AmigaOS is dead since 1994, but ? and 3.1 was the last release. :) anyway, it is 2005 now if my calendar is right.

    Allright! :-)

All this reading made me smile!
Some things will never change :-)

    MorphOS 1.4.4:
I've downloaded this ISO. Will try it soon.
    Should I take some precautions?
Ofcourse I'll backup my current system before trying!
Bugfixes I read, hopefully something with printing?? ;-)

    Future:
So, what's Genesi doing at the moment?

    Thanks for the replies! :-D
