Boy, it's a stunning idea. Yet, I prefer the "download and burn for yourself" method, it's faster for the updates, but the CD given for the Peg would be just impressing in a butterfly shape.

Something to give away at trade shows for free? :-D

I am thinking more of an eye-candy type promo..

How often will early versions of MorphOS be used later on anyway? You might toss a regular CD-ROM... but you KNOW you'd keep the old butterfly shape MorphOS promo disc as a collectors item ;)

Some CD-ROMs have a smaller metal ring at the centre, but the rest of the disc is clear.

    *LOOK*

I wonder if anyone can do glow in the dark silkscreening? :-D

This is interesting stuff, I will investigate.

It would fit nicely to the Butterfly-shaped full-colour mousepads we're planning! :-)

    One word: "SlipCover"

Explained: A jewel-case is a jewel-case is a jewel case. But a slipcover for a jewel case indicates something important. It could be matched with a slipcover of the same style and design for "mini-manuals".

    :-D

    Speaking of C= ......

If I am correct the name was owned by Tulip who are pretty much
defunct themselves ? Hmmmm /me gotta mean idea 8-)

Let BB contact whomever C= now belongs to and buy the name.

And than wait what gets more attraction:
    Mai' s Amiga

    or Commodore's Pegasos :-D :-P :-o

C= has been at the CeBIT this year. They showed their C=-branded speakers and other stuff. They did also have a C64, A500 and A1200 as eyecatcher. Therefore I don't think they'd like to sell their name to Genesi, at least not for a reasonable price.

I think 'Genesi' makes for a much *cooler* brand name than 'Commodore'.

Genesi is about a new beginning, Commodore is...

    "commodore
n : a commissioned naval officer who ranks above a captain and
below a rear admiral; the lowest grade of admiral

I like the "new beginning". (Although I do miss the old C= logo.. it really stood out. And several million C64 user basewould be very difficult to match
