    Hi to all.

I try to made a clean boot 3.16 for MorpOS on My Pegasos II.
I made a copy of My old installation, formatted the partition where the OS was and
    installed from cd the OS.
After completed the installation, I reboot the Peg without the cd, but get a Ambient white screen with only a mouse pointer and nothing other...

    What i can do?

    Thanks, Flip971.

Well, why didnt you just update your old installation?

You did it the overcomplicated way and probably made a mistake hard to diagnose. Now you have somehow mixed up old and new files or forgot to copy files your setup requires.

MorphOS is not Windows. *EVERY* update is a clean install and nothing gets overwritten or delete unless it was always included like the included applications, tools, utilities and games.

You can try booting the CD once more and "update" again. This should fix your boot problem, unless you have something in your user#?-startup files, which you did not copy back.

Sorry, I have no simple advice.
Normally I have in my Pegasos 2 gfx card Radeon 9800PRO.

But month ago I tested something on AmigaOS, so I changed card to Radeon 9000PRO. And this card also didn't work with MorphOS ( black screen or white screen). With OF and AmigaOS was fine.

I have now MorphOS 3.15. I am not sure, but I think that with some older MorphOS version it worked.

If you have another gfx card, try to change it.

Did you report the 9000PRO issue?

I see, you cannot use the standard report tool, but sometimes reporting the vendor ID and product ID may unlock the card :-)

    Something like
    Code:
    4966 RV250 [Radeon 9000 Series]
    10f1 0002 RV250 If [Tachyon G9000 PRO]
    148c 2039 RV250 If [Radeon 9000 Pro "Evil Commando"]
    1509 9a00 RV250 If [Radeon 9000 "AT009"]
    1681 0040 RV250 If [3D prophet 9000]
    174b 7176 Radeon 9000 Pro
    174b 7192 RV250 If [Radeon 9000 "Atlantis"]
    17af 2005 RV250 If [Excalibur Radeon 9000 Pro]
    17af 2006 RV250 If [Excalibur Radeon 9000]

    Thanks,
I can use serial debug and check product + vendor ID under AmigaOS.
But this card under MorphOS for me is not important, 9800PRO is much better. 9000PRO is best for AmigaOS.

I wrote this because I saw that flip also used Radeon 9000 (according to his signature) and problem could be attached to gfx.
