recently I had a cli window opening and closing closing very fast, just after Ambient's screen title bar showed and before the sbar modules loaded, so couldn't read the message. In the end, it was caused by a wrong path in user-startup.

But that made me wonder if there is a way to single step through the startup-sequence and user-startup at boot in MOS?

I remember using that looong ago with ms-dos, hitting F5 I think, and stepping through config.sys and autoexec.bat line by line, executing the ones I wanted.

Don't remember if that is available for any Amiga like OS...
