Because you'd be hungry after fasting that long as well.

I've fasted for Ramadan as well, although I'm not a Muslim. I can sympathise.

Do you do it every year Kenny? I remember you saying before that you'd done it to see how hard it was or something.

    That's a beautiful phrase, Nik.

I made a note of it, and will try to get the pronunciation correct for future use.

Everyone outside of the US must think we are all Islamophobic and wouldn't be interested in a neat turn of phrase in Arabic.
But I have Palestinian and Afghani friends (come to think of it, a few years ago I used to work for a Jewish couple that were friends with one of the Afghanis I know).

People need to understand the complexities introduced by past history before they start judging groups of people.

My chemistry professor in the late nineties was an Iranian and was a kind man with a sharp intellect.

Islam may be the latest of the three major religions to develop, but the cultures behind it are incredibly venerable.

Nah. I don't know any Muslims any more so wouldn't even know when it was to begin. What with the visa regulations being tightened up every year and the boomers selling out our futures for their Brexit nonsense, etc. Probably the most strange and exotic people I'll ever meet from now on will be those who can afford their own home. I've heard tales that they may exist in the furthest corners of our land...
